Performance issues:

Try these console commands if you have dual core capability: gmod_mcore_test 1; mat_queue_mode -1; cl_threaded_bone_setup 1
Try verify the integrity of your Gmod cache
Alternatively, if you have an abundance of cosmetic and or Gmod addons in general, a very large amount can cause lag, try remove some you don't need

Experiencing errors:

Make sure to have both ep1, ep2 and css properly mounted in Gmod
Try verify the integrity of your gmod cache
