Genre: Isometric Survival RPG

Tunguska sets out to deliver a deliberate, tension-filled survival RPG with STALKER-like grit, and in many ways, it succeeds. The isometric view, while not universally loved, does an admirable job of reinforcing the bleak atmosphere and sense of tactical vulnerability.

Combat is slow, weighty, and punishing by design. You’re encouraged to think ahead, manage ammo, and avoid unnecessary risks. This aligns with broader player feedback: those who enjoy a challenge rooted in realism find it rewarding. However, the experience can be undermined by not so ideal animations and clunky mechanics—especially when sneaking or aiming.

The healing system, crafting of serums, and environmental hazards all play into a core survival loop that’s strong but occasionally marred by uneven UI behavior and minor bugs. I appreciate the minimal hand-holding, although newcomers might feel the learning curve is steep. Inventory and base resource systems are functional, though not always intuitive.

Tunguska dabbles in mystery and conspiracy but leans heavily on atmosphere rather than tight storytelling. NPCs, strange anomalies, and moments like fighting mutant wolves or watching distortions unfold build immersion—although some feel the pacing and story clarity are inconsistent. Its hard to follow especially if you play multiple games.

Visually, it’s a mixed bag. The gritty aesthetic nails the tone, but polish is lacking in some interface and visual feedback areas. Still, the world feels handcrafted and alive in its own cold, post-apocalyptic way.
