First at all.. get this game when it's on sale, otherwise it's too expensive for what it is.

The fighting is very basic so is the farming in this game.
Music is great.
Story has some good parts, but mostly it's mid.
But i still enjoyed the game.

so many bugs, and missing voice acting, clunky controls. I cant recommend this game in the current state it is in.

This is a recommended but with caveat.

The game is basically a RPG with action combat of some sort. If you expect a cozy farming game, this is not it, but that is actually a good thing.

Story is OK; I am still in the beginning so not sure what is actually going on or if all to know is what you see (which I hope is not as it is very dull); but you get thrown in this village with no memory and have to figure things out, and the pace is decent.

Characters are well drawn and the style reminds me a lot of FF tactics for portraits and overall style; it is 3d but with simplistic style and more "chibi" look than a modern FF game. Overall the world is well made and goes for a realistic styling, which suits the game.
The usual tropes of anime are here, so expect characters to behave exactly as you can imagine; won't win any prize for being innovative on that aspect, but it is fine. Didn't find too many moments where characters were annoying, and the story is pretty serious, instead of being the usual silly one (if you consider the synopsis of the game not silly of course).

Music is really nice; at the level of other Square Enix games. Really the highling here with the graphics.

The bad: combat sucks. Really not much to say here; it is realtime but you have neither a block nor a evade button, so you basically stand somewhere, attack; get hit, heal if HP is low, rinse and repeat. There is really no finesse here, and it feels like a indie title in terms of combat. If you thought that Rune Factory 5 combat was bad, after trying the combat in Harvestella, you will praise RF5 combat.
The nice thing is that you have "professions", which are basically classes you switch on the fly, and each class has pros and cons against specific enemies. There is a deep system of RPG combat below, but it is ruined by making it a realtime combat. If it was a turn based probably would have been way better.

You learn professions as you meet other people, and you level those professions as you use them, so if you prefer a style go for it, but it won't work with every enemy, so you have to switch to at least another 2 professions to get enough variety.

Beside the combat that is bad, the game is enjoyable, so I recommend it, but only when on sale, as honestly it is not worth more than 15-20 dollars.

Farming is streamlined, as making items and crafting; it is there but the meat and potatoes of the game is the story and combat, which sadly is quite bad as mentioned before, and can't really avoid combat for most part.

6 out of 10 for me; above average by a hair; just get it on sale if you tried already all the other farming cozy games and want something different.
