Yeah, Shadow Resolution was the first thing I looked at with low fps. 8k is ridiculously high compared to most current games which give you about 1k or 2k at best, usually lower. 4k runs flawless for me and I took some screen to compare 8k to 4k and if you don't analyze the pixels in detail with Photoshop you won't notice any difference in terms of looks but it will net you about 20 fps more at all times.

Anyone get antialiasing working on an AMD card? 280x with 14.4.
Tried forcing via CCC, multi and super sampling, enhance and override, edge-effect and standard. Also tried adding r_multisamples "16" to both the cfg file and startup option.
Just will not work.

i have all settings maxed on HD 7970

set catalyst 14.4 to override AA to 8xEQ, normal, multisample...helps quite a bit...

also had very lousy performance while installed to SSD, using HDD

perfect now :)

Anyone having a problem with the Audio moving faster than the gameplay? It doesn't happen during cinematics, only dialog in game. The only solution I've found is to hit the ESC Key twice, which seems to temporarily reset the Dialog back to where its supposed to be.

AMD users: You NEED to install the Catalyst 14.4 drivers. A driver update literally doubled my FPS.

Also want to mention, if anyone on an AMD card is having flickering issues, force VSync through AMD Catalyst. If you're having the issue on an Nvidia card as well, see if Forcing Vsync through its control panel works.

i don't think this should be pinned as the advice provided are merely generic ones. it looks like copy-pasted content. update drivers? check your system requirements? really?

Any way to make it work with the legacy 13.4 drivers for the ati HD 4870?
It crashes after the second intro video

Well, first it opens on the wrong monitor. Then it quickly crashes after the Bethesda logo screen. So, no play for me.

Wish i could even get the game to start so i can wonder the fps problems...

This happens to me as well, not a clue how to sort it.

any solution for being trapped in the hole in the floor under the turret in the intro? there's an infinite ammo bag down here, so i've tried shooting everything to no avail. the door wont open.
