how many people have stopped playing or uninstalled since the last update.. what do you feel the problems are?
personally i have a real issue with the direction this game has gone since the last few updates and i am wondering if anyone else is feeling the same.. just seems like all the passion the devs had for the game is gone

For you and others like you here, it may just seems like they've lost their passion.

For those who like where the game is going, their passion to complete their road map until the end is appreciated.

No one is wrong here. It's all about different preferences.

So far, in terms of factual evidences, I see that the recent reviews are less good than they were for V1.0, so there are probably more dissatisfied ppl than we could see for the previous updates. The majority still like the game tho.

It's been hard playing the new version of the game. All the changes seem to do is make the game harder to progress. It's whatever. I certainly have bias looking back at happy memories, but the current game is not as good as past versions.

I am not a fan of the number of books you need to craft anything important. I am not a fan of biome badges. On the other hand, I think the new biome storms are a good addition.

At least they are still updating it :buzzed:

If you like previous versions but don't like the current one the reasonable action would be to set the version you like and play it, not uninstalling and then complain at public steam forum.
For multiplayer session i do the very same. ;-)

But to answer the question. Sure there are always people who feel almost the same. It's a game with 5m + players over the time and you CANT please everyone with a change.
I also don't like some 2.0 aspects (e.g. the remove of temperature/wet state).
Though classic survival stuff was never the main aspect of the game so it's just a minor downgrade.
The storm and biom progression, which is a common topic nowadays, we have now isn't the final version. There are already tweaks announced for 2.1 and most likely it will be one of the main points to balance and optimize for 2.x.

But feeling like "devs lost the passion" is subjectiv. They just moved in a direction you don't like but that's not the same at all. And esp. with EA titles it's something you have to be aware of.

This reads like "He doesn't smile at me anymore like he used to, I feel we have lost our passion. I think I am going to bone the lad that bags my groceries".

Still despondent over that Ms PAC-MAN b***h showing up and ruining our good thing.

To quote the beloved and renowned Trader Rekt: "Play it or fk off".
Why would anybody uninstall? You can turn off biome progression and storms, then it´s basically V1.4 with new zombies and POI´s.

And there is mods and the option to play every version starting from Alpha 8.8.

If I uninstalled, what would be the purpose to return to the forum?

You would be shocked. Not just this game but all of them, have players that uninstall and spend years posting on the forum to tell people to quit playing. They can't move on, until you do, too.

Yeah, the new updates for me have all been disappointment after disappointment. I hope someday 7DTD rediscovers it's identity, but I lost the majority of that belief after "1.0". The optimizations came at the cost of a core draw the game had (the zombies), which have been dwindling. I mean, how are they gonna get bandits in the game and working if their zombies are causing so many issues? I'm hopeful at the end of the journey 7DTD will become a game I love again, but I don't believe TFP are the ones capable of doing so.

Keyword list: Rediscover, Identity, Belief, end of Journey, Love Again.
You do know its a game, where you are suppose to bash zombies heads in with a ball bat right? and not Eat Pray Love? :D
None. I haven't stopped playing.

Stop rewriting the damn game every other "alpha"

Make up your minds and run with it. Stop trying to include the FOTM from every other game for the sake of it.

And stop using the excuse of "well you can turn X off, or revert back to an older version" That turns more and more people off.

but you can turn off biome progression and storms if you don't like it. People ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ there wasn't nothing in the game previous alphas so they try to add things and people whine.

It's not about "excuses", it's about facts. Ppl can turn some content off at their preferences, play older versions they prefer and mod the game. Those are real options that makes the game different from many others and more fun for many ppl. Giving options to solve an issue is never bad.

That would be because they changed how their AI works and believe it or not the AI sucks up power for the engine they are using.

The game is fine, previous alphas, since I've been playing since alpha 6. The problem is once you got going, it was too easy. Literally every night for the first seven nights just sit there recrafting stuff to "improve". Literally can have a 600 bow by end of night one lol.

The magazine is kinda an issue but it's really not that bad especially since this is probably the first time I started with Int, so that I can have a chance to double skill points when reading magazines.

To each their own of course, but I just find it funnier that people are so adamant on each side that when someone enjoys the changing, it's basically licking the dev boots. Literally if you hate it so much stop playing, step back and wait instead of every time they post, they literally have to circle jerk each other off.

I have just kept it at 1.4. I am not going any further. The pimps (they are no fun) are basically demanding that you play the game THEIR WAY and only their way. Make a complaint about the changes in their discord and they do not say anything at all, they just ban you. So what does that tell you. What I am waiting for is the pimps getting rid of the betas so you can only play from 2,0 an on. If they do that, we all should sue them for our money back. I don't care what they say in the store page, this game is no longer a sandbox nor open world.
