Zombies will routinely spawn in any biome during the night. More so in the Wasteland.
I'm currently based in the Snow Biome. Constantly having to murder Frostclaws due to the higher than average spawn rate of them.
I wager you'll have the same circumstance with Mutated Zombies in the Wasteland, not to mention the addition of Dogs, Cops and Vultures etc

nah what i mean like srsly 24/7 horde spawns just like during horde night that used to be a thing the last time i was in the wastelands during the night which was probably 1-2 years ago

I've not witnessed anything like that from being in the Wasteland biome at night. I've built bases in the Wasteland for Horde Night explicitly, on those nights the horde will spawn relentlessly, from dusk til dawn I've found. But nothing like you've described on regular nights.

Not necessarily hordes but yes the respawndelay is still nearly instant at night in the wasteland.

Oh, and only a little longer during the day if you're in the city.

They used to spawn when "noise" is produced and from what i've seen, it's now like that at night on all biomes, no longer exclusive to the wasteland. Opening metallic doors and containers will spawn them or at least fill up a condition that spawns them when it reaches a threshold.

Of course that threshold is a lot lower in the wasteland so it can seem endless if you are fighting them off with guns.
