Porn Games where only introduced to Steam in 2018 so it has not been around "forever" as some want to make us believe.
It probably was even a legit niche genre when it started with indie devs trying to carefully introduce spicier dating sims.
But nowadays copy & pasted hardcore "games" which all come from the same handfull of publishers clutter up the place.
And these publishers are now sending their minions to the forums to defend their $$$$$$$$ business model, thats all what these threads are about.
That also slowed down the process so that this stuff wouldn't flood steam like it currently does.
Greenlight wasn't used for this. It was literally just a vote for game system where games that received enough votes, were allowed on Steam (minus those that didn't pass Valves criteria).
It was a horrible system, prone to abuse that left us without many games that could have been amazing.
"Could have been" doesn't cut it.
And that reason is?
