Steam Games are hitting it home on Console....
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/top-paid/games/xbox

EDIT- You may have to refresh the page.

Ready or Not and Holdfast are in the Top 10 Most PAID Games.

Fellas, Triple A is dying.

Gamers across the spectrum have HAD IT, with these lazy cinematic bizarro type games.

It is incumbent Uncle Phil and Mr Newell come to an agreement, forthwith to come together, and bring us our Xbox and Steam games, on one System.

Gaming may be looking awful in the triple a space.

But this is why i'm a proponent of Early Access, and giving smaller developers room to create what can be the bright future of games, on ALL Platforms.

Thanks for Reading.

Your friend, and fellow gamer,

Ranger :steamhappy:

Those games being on Xbox have nothing to do with Steam. They are a separate version from the Steam one.

Which still doesn't mean they have anything to do with Steam.

PC is the quickest and easiest to start development since it doesn't require specialized hardware(dev kits). A game being on PC then making a console version has nothing to do with Steam.

Well they're getting their starts by Early Access. One can say, successful games across all platforms are happening because Mr Newell is Making Games Great Again :steamhappy:

Steam games are not on xbox and never will be! Porting is a thing for a reason. Xbox is done and realistically has been for some time!
Xbox has already said they are abandoning consoles and their next device will be a PC running a streamlined version of Windows 11. So Microsoft threw in the towel on consoles and sounds like they are focusing on PC games now.

Just like with any PC there is no special deal or partnership needed to run steam games, or epic, GoG, ubisoft, etc games on it. You just install them and play.

Yep, those games are also on PlayStation. Its quite common to release on PC first and then port to consoles later. Nothing to do with Xbox or microsoft really, its just standard software development.

That's even better. Meaning we would get our 'whole" Steam libraries on the next Xbox. Instead of relying on streaming.

I tinkered with an Alienware Alpha system many years ago, and it was too clunky, and controllers didn't work, and only a small portion of games.

But if Xbox can get a Win 11 desktop on their new system, that's gonna be fire.

It was only a matter of time for Microsoft anyway.

And it's hardly standard for those who are not knowledgable or tech saavy. For those people, this is absolute MAGIC!

For those of us not tech saavy, it's a MIRACLE for we console gamers lol.

My start on the Steam forums many years ago, never bought one game.

I was simply here like a kid looking thru a window of a cookie shop, begging, pleading, to have developers port these games over to console.

Now, my dream is finally happening.

I mean the whole point is there isn't going to be a new xbox, It's just going to be a overpriced PC that you can't customize instead.

Actually its the exact opposite of your dream. Instead of porting over PC games to consoles they are killing the console and only making PC games.

And plenty of games are released on a console or consoles first before Steam. Funny thing, those games tend to do better once they hit Steam.

GTA does this.

I would imagine we are going to have all of our back compatibility games. Xbox Exclusives and with Win 11, Steam and olthers.

At least that's what the rumors are saying.
Odd you mentioned Ready or Not as it uses EOS (Epic Online Services) because Consoles cannot use Steamworks, so it is hardly a Steam game.

Even odder is you ignore Xbox and Playstation games being ported to PC.
