Anyone else having Steam performance issues after recent Windows 11 update?
I was able to play Palworld just fine with no issues yesterday. In the evening I shut my PC down and there was a forced Windows update. Today when booting up any Steam game, there is noticeable stuttering. Even Factorio, which can easily run at a consistent 165fps normally is stuttering. The only game I've been able to run smoothly so far is Vintage Story or a few games I bought through GOG. I'm using an AMD gpu if it matters, but I was just wondering what was going on and if it can be fixed.

Ok, I seem to have found the issue, at least it looks that way so far. I updated my GPU driver to the optional 25.6.3 that was released June 30th (I was on 25.6.1 before), and now everything seems to be working properly again. If anyone else is having the same issue as me, try that and see if it helps.
I just wanted to come back and say I found the real problem, which was not the GPU driver. It was actually Wallpaper Engine, which I had set to pause animation when something was fullscreen on a per monitor basis. When I set it to pause on both monitors, suddenly the issue stopped. I still don't know why now suddenly this became an issue, because it worked just fine before with those settings, but now that it's consistently reproducible I think I can say that was it.
