There was an error retrieving your trade offers. Please try again later.
Hello,

I want to trade items but I keep getting an error:

Sorry!
An error was encountered while processing your request:

There was an error retrieving your trade offers. Please try again later.

How do I fix this?

It has been 24 hours now.

Thanks in advance for any help or tips given.

Stop trying to trade and give the cooldown timer a chance to actually cool down? Failing that, use a different IP address. For example, leave your house and use your smartphone to make the trade instead of using your PC.

Thanks Matt, I’ve waited but no joy.

Tried the IP address idea but still no luck.

Thanks again for your help.

The way most cooldown timers work is that every time you try to do the thing, the timer gets reset. So, if there's a 24 hour cooldown on trades, the timer is continually reset back to 24 hours after each attempt. If you try to trade every 6-8 hours to see if it's possible yet, you'll end up waiting forever.

If you have your smartphone set to use your wireless router at home, it will use the same IP address as your desktop PC. You have to use cellular data. Even better yet, try using the guest wireless at a library or something.

If that doesn't work, it's either a cooldown on your account rather than your IP address, or the Steam servers are simply swamped. Last night, I listed all 20 of my summer sale trading cards on the market. I wouldn't be surprised if other people are doing the same thing.
I started to have this issue as well, did it change for you @Gibbzii

I haven't rechecked in the past 21 hours... Holding out for the 24hr mark in case it makes a difference. However, I think Ill continue to have this issue. Not sure how to fix it!

It's not a cooldown. The item servers are severely stressed since Trade Protection for CS2 items was added last week. People and website owners are freaking out and causing massive issues.

I guessed that might be the issue. Just have to wait it out by the sounds of it. Thanks

Everything written will not work. The problem is in the skin that was offered to you. One or more of them was stolen and traded a lot of times, but the current owner is not scammer or stealer, so Valve does not ban him. He can send trade offers to you, but because of this, all offers you get - become blocked, and you cannot any of them. You need to wait until all offers them cancel and try again but by single skin trade.
If you try to get your winnings from any CS 2 case opening sites or CS2 casino sites, they can be guilty in your problem.
After all trades will cancel, try to get another trade offer from your friend of cheap graffiti or skin, and if everything will be good - then, I am right. And you should stop getting skins from this site

I am not sure if what you say is correct. My friend had the same problem with the trade offer page. He was able to accept the trade because he had the trade's link from the other guy. It is not about the trades, its about the "My Trade Offers" page. There is a chance that they might be doing it intentionally. I am not sure. :steamfacepalm:
