Learn to use steam collection or click home at steam client,

Windows shortcut desktop Icon, is outdate, with even 100+ game they will not fit anywhere not even in a game folder at windows desktop, any steam user that get way more then 500 games acan tell you brose a folder with games is over and outdate, and larg Icon view is also a problem this is why we tell yuo stop use that old crappy windows user did in the past.

I only use that to scripts extender or very speccial modded gamea rest is start from steam client.
with nice cover boxes or home lib.

And see what you just did in the OS Blank icons do not happend by itself its the access you did that cause this. ( other user might want to help you and fix this, in the end they dont fix anything only prolong a outdate ICON issue that is useless anyway.

Ask any ppl here what has 500+ games they will tell Icons is a waste of time, there is nothing to fix, only watse of time use them and then crap like you just happend to you at your desktop icons,
and it can happend again. ( so yes its a total watse of time past windows user keep doing. )

I have a folder with 200+ games icon, do i go in thjere to start a game NO i have not done that in many years. ( a game folder with dump crap windows game desktop icons, what a waste of time with them. ) was cool in the pastm today annying piece of crap from the past.

but here ppl do not dare say this, maybe im not the only one thats think like this today.

this is not just steam i do same on blizzard rockstar or EA or GOG client and other online client i use the client to start games not shortcut on desktop, if i can avoid it.

And next time you lose or get Blank icon, you will say thanks if you stop doing this, becuase now you can say i dont care about them.

All this will happedn again io doubt you haver backup, this will happend then hard diskburn out or you reset windows, becuase you forgot all about steam icon folder you just wiped with the reset. ( so you see i have told you yuo will screw this up, you cant avoid it.

So few take backup today, this is why its not avoidable.
