update bar not moving
so i have never played this game i click the icon and its says updating but it never moves or anything

Is it Steam that is not updating the game, or does it launch a dedicated patcher to update?

You would be suprised. Sometimes that progress bar moves backwards as it recalculates how much has been downloaded. I'd start a download (TF2 for example) says 4 hours. After 3 hours it tells me only 6 hours to go, then eventually drops to 1 hour. It does actually finish, so just watch the amount downloaded counter. Hopefully your download doesn't pause itself.

Also I just discovered troll-science:
Turn your monitor on its side so that your progress bar gets a gravity assist.

Alright i got it to download but now it says that it says my computer sees a bad image and that i should download it on the original software or game site.......sooo i went to gamers first downloaded the game and it says the same insact thing.......could someone please help
