Amazon has a market cap of over 2.2 trillion dollars.
Valve is not even close to 2% of that.
"Amazon Payment Services is the new name for PayFort. PayFort is a leading provider of payment processing services that was acquired by Amazon in 2017."
"Amazon acquired PayFort as part of its larger acquisition of Souq dot com in 2017. While the exact amount Amazon paid for PayFort specifically is not detailed, the entire Souq dot com acquisition."
It wasn't even Amazon that made their own.
Valve doesn't even sell things on Amazon anymore.

Most credit and debit cards are backed by either Visa or Mastercard. The problem is way bigger than just having their own payment processor.
Amazon's is back by, guess who...
The OP would be shocked.
If only they had checked the names of the cards offered. Prime VISA and Amazon VISA are really not that subtle.
