What are your thoughts on Jade's lack of hair in the MKII Movie Trailer

I have seen a lot of posts on other parts of the internet, so I thought I'd ask here.

What's wrong with her appearance? I think she can play the character well.

Jade's look isn't exactly set in stone throughout the games.

It's just a case of people who haven't been fans of the game being tasked with making a movie about a character they decide they'll take some liberties with and we end up with another ♥♥♥♥ movie made by people who don't know what they're doing.

I didn't even like the fact they made Jade look distinctively Asian in the previous movies. Nothing from any of her games makes her look East Asian. Kitana, yes, but Jade? No. Jade always looked more South Asian to me. Like India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, etc.

Why are they making another Mortal Combat movie when the first one was terrible? They really really need to stop trying to turn video games into movies and tv shows. With some few exceptions, it for the most part just doesn't work.

Definitely. It's not hard for them to just stick to the plethora of source material. She has had a fairly consistent enough look to go on. As have most the characters at this point. Just cast someone who actually looks like any popular depiction of Jade, match the outfit and hairstyle, and move on. There's no need for creative liberties here.
