If we were not the dominant species on this planet. What species would be
Imagine this, we never developed beyond caveman and cave women. And one species was the most dominant and yes dinosaurs do count. But what do you think would be the dominant species.

And how long wild we live as a species

Ants. And fungi.

A cephalopod of some sort.

If I were a betting man, I would bank my money on a specific breed of octopus where the female does not condemn herself to die upon giving birth and maintaining the eggs for a while.

The Pacific Striped Octopus.

These females have been documented to act as 'matrons', and they form and hunt in packs. Sometimes they recruit fish as we would a hunting dog.

Failing that, marine mammals like Dolphins are already well on their way, and they can potentially reach 'apex' status in the ocean due to their cunning if they developed better memory like we have.

another human race, maybe neerdantal

if you exclude human, well technically ants and fly dominate earth surface, spider eat 800 million tons of meat by year, shark dominate ocean since at least 200 million years
+1 for the Octo Clan. Maybe they'd do better than us...

yup nice soup
It would be another creature that would evolve and gain the ability to manipulate its environment for gain, It could be anything really animal wise.

Most likely would be apes or monkeys something along those lines, i saw that they had recently started using tools and had entered their stone age. Which for us was when we started to gain the ability to create structures and started agriculture, if it were to be anything its most likely them. :bluerune::luv:

Anything that feeds on humans, so mosquitoes, ticks, and other parasites.
Wolves.
Bunnies are already the dominant species

By pretty much any measure Pelagibacter ubique is almost certainly the dominant species on the planet (there are probably more than 10^28 of them, i.e. >10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000).

Hum, monkeys I guess, those are suprisingly close to us and could evolve in a similar way in the future. But an entirely different specie ? Ants seem too small and simple organisms to do that, like any insects. I don't think reptiles have a chance either, birds are constrained by their ability to fly, so they have to stay relatively light sooo ... Another mammal I guess ? Marine species lack the ability to devellop on lands and to access a lot of ressources. Just imagine the headache if a marine specie attempted to have a space program ... We already struggle moving oxygen all the way up here, so imagine trying to put enough water in space to allow for marine life to explore ...

So, yeah, probably a mammal, a grounded one, most likely some sort of monkey or badger or something else able to craft tools and grab those to use it. (and yes, badgers do that too)

The Kingu

A secondary species designed to rule over mankind, they look kinda like this:
https://bg3.wiki/w/images/b/b9/Dark_Urge_Headshot.webp

Some believe they are the most dominant species right now. Human kings are known to be hybrids between human and reptillian species and Kingu are the prime canditate human kings are hybridized with.

There are some pics on the web of them being spotted in the Vatican. They are known as white Draco. Whats funny is that not too long ago one of the Kardashians decided to cosplay as a white humanoid "alligator". https://people.com/kim-kardashian-wears-albino-alligator-costume-halloween-2024-8733680
The last part is probably just a coincidence and youtube loves to reminds us via banner ad that reptillians are fictional creatures whenever someone mentions them in the video. But does not bother to do so when people talk about vampires ruling the world because everyone knows that ain't happening either.
