It is Valves OWN FAULT for not using Human QC, relying on AI because those types of games have been banned since the beginning.
When Valve used humans for QC review, this game had to remove a blackout audio-only rape scene (2017):
https://store.steampowered.com/app/435100/2Dark/?snr=5000_5100__
is a game with a ♥♥♥♥ ton of rape And has incest in it and has been on the site since 2019 the games are still here and i likely if i felt like it could hunt down many other examples
but next they will come for something else and you all will be like well this was unexpected!
several users investigated the removed content and the games did not contain erotic scenes or other NSFW content, I haven't checked for myself, but i searched some other far worse titles, and they are still here. so i don't know what the issue is.
the payment processors may have opened themselves up to some fun legal action here, so this situation is interesting!
i think the user one is responding to is generally just intoxicated most of the time, fyi
Payment processors have been doing activism for a while now. They tried to backdoor in a gun ban in the US by refusing to process payments for firearms and ammunition. There was even an instance where banks started dropping gun stores. There's a reason why "Legal Tender" laws are a thing, and they need to be modernized for these digital payment processors and banks. If it's not illegal to own/purchase, then it's illegal for you as a payment processor or bank to deny transactions.
