Shock Coffee advertises 50% more caffeine. I assume that's 50% more than an average cup. An average cup has 95 milligrams, 250 millimeters is slightly more than an 8 ounce cup, so we'll say it has 100 milligram and an extra strong cup has 150 milligrams of caffeine. A can of monster has 160 milligrams of caffeine.

However it also needs to be noted that it's 473 milliliters. On a per millimeter basis even just a typical cup of coffee has more, and with Monster having more fluid you're getting up to empty your bladder more, and if you should have to go at an inconvenient moment, well, you're either pissing your pants or throwing the match to go to the bathroom.

A pee bottle can only stave that off as long as it has spare capacity, and you still have to unzip your pants and aim your genitals in it.

Looking up prices real quick, a 12 pack of Monster costs $22 whereas a 16 ounce bag of shock coffee is $17 and should make 32 cups. Liquid creamer might cost up to 10 cents per serving, and two sugar packets might cost 7 cents.. So multiply those figures by 32 to get $3.20 for creamer, and $2.24 for sugar to add to your coffee.

We come to a final cost of 22.44, and it's roughly just 70 cents per serving of coffee, whereas each can of monster is $1.80. The coffee costs less than half as much, even with the additives.

If we're talking purely about caffeine delivery, the coffee is more cost effective and does so with less fluid, so you might pee less.

The monster has other stuff in it besides caffeine but I don't know how much that stuff really helps for sedentary activity like gaming.

So I'm going to say go with coffee over Monster.

Monster to me just tastes like bile now. The punch flavors i can tolerate but i'd much rather have red bull or a good cup of coffee with vanilla cream.
I don't know if its just me but I always end up sleeping more after drinking energy drinks
Out of those 2 monster is better, if i was playing a game like civ or something like a strategy game id go with coffee :bluerune::luv:
put both in a blender with some sangria
Tried oatmilk for more alertness but instead it made me more calm and it turned out to be making me more humble and forgiving which can be awful for competitive games full of toxic people where need to be more alert and outrageous.

With all due respect it's meant for vodka drinkers but not for a straight edge like me

I got many as my neighbors and I see many both in real life and online
Have you considered a more natural approach? Such as gaming atop a dangling apparatus, barely hovering above tank of ravenous piranha for perpetual adrenaline release?
