Donald Trump ran for president as a republican. He promised to build a wall to keep the illegal immigrants out. Democrats hated him like they've never hated a democrat before. Little to no wall was built. He implemented tariffs against China. Disease happened, so the economy floundered causing price hikes. Obama's vice president Biden won or stole the 2020 election depending on who you ask. People who thought he won violently protested. Economy was still floundering. Trump won reelection. He doubled down on his stance regarding illegal immigration, and implemented protectionist tariffs against the whole world. He wants Greenland and Canada to join the union. They don't wanna. Democrats still hate him with a passion.

That's as short as I can make it, and I skipped over a lot of foreign policy 'cause you're only asking about U.S. politics.

The political establishment is sundowning and trying to recapture a political moment that never existed.

The wokeness that started under Obama, eventually mutated into a weird movement that ate friend in foe alike. The media companies try to tilt and election in the democrats favor by propping up an old rich celebrity to win the republican primary, only for him to get popular enough that he actually won the election. The next 4 years was spent insulting the new president, and pushing conspiracy theories, and even with all the money spent, it looked like the celebrity would win again, until a pandemic happened.

The pandemic although turned out to not be a whole lot worse than the flue was enough to tip the election because the old folks were to afraid to go out in person to vote. The new president, although once lauded as a decent politician had suffered health issues a decade before which caused him to say some crazy stuff occasionally, (and somehow the best candidate the democrats could field) took office.

During this time both parties had become retarded, and politics might as well been a soap opera. With the next midterm was about to happen, Biden suddenly declared the pandemic over, before that, the only people who could gather in groups were protesters, because they had some sort of immunity that no one else had. But it help voter turn out for Biden, so now the population were not forced to wear chin diapers anymore. Then as the term progressed, the president was growing more addled, to the point the even the press couldn't fully cover it up.

By the time Biden dropped out of the race, it was late enough the Democrats didn't bother to vote on another candidate, and anointed his VP for the to run for president. By then, the wokeness had become beyond an annoyance to the general population, combined with the nomination decision made previously, the Nation went back to elect Trump.

Although, E's party chair discovered and presented evidence of this malfeasiance before the first one could even be started. So maybe I should have said "discovered" in the previous paragraph. I am trying to feign politeness towards my former empire's current political state though; my words aren't fresh enough in peoples minds there for them to censor me instead of making hay out of them.

As such, implicitly accusing them of knowing corruption with "discovered" is a few steps too far, but explaining myself is merely droll and obnoxious.
