Early Access Review
I'm a big fan of the DMC series so when I got into Ultrakill, I thought the style mechanic was something that was tacked on to the game just to be quirky. Glad I was wrong, because this game carries the heart of what makes DMC so fun. Which is style.

As a person who's not necessarily great at shooters, Ultrakill was the one FPS game where I felt pressured to focus on getting better with not only my movement but also come up with more creative setups considering it's something that I like to do within my game-play. The amount of freedom you have to come up with your own type of play-style is refreshing. While I enjoyed my time with Dusk and Doom Eternal, Ultrakill felt like it satisfied that that craving more to mix up the way that I play, to come up with all sorts of combinations that not only look cool, but feel cool while I'm pulling it off.

Fantastic game. I'll definitely try to P-Rank P-1 and P-2 whenever I can

When I first heard of Outer Wilds years ago, I had assumed it was some random indie game that was about exploring Space but I didn't think much of it.

Fast forward to now, I decided to pick this game up after a playthrough of TUNIC, because a few friends told me it contained the same sense of discovery and progression. My first few hours were spent just exploring and not really knowing what was going on until I learned more and more about the game and what was going on. Once I realized what I needed to do, that's when everything started to click for me.

This game by far is one of the best games I've ever played when it comes to leading the player into uncovering a mystery. And it all starts with the player unraveling things on their own. I can't stress on how entangled I was with this game and I can only hope the developer makes similar games like this. I'm utterly glad I gave this game a chance and I hope more people play it in the future.

This is the best case example of "haha cute fox game" that slowly transforms into something I was not expecting.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing Tunic despite some frustrations towards the end (mostly due to how cryptic some puzzles were) The OST and art design are incredible and I haven't felt a sense of wonder in an indie game in such a long time.

Initially when I saw Sonic Frontiers for the first time, I had lost all hope for Sega. But as time went on and I saw more and more of the game, I started to have more faith for this product.

Now that I was able to sit down and try it out, I feel like my concerns are mostly gone. Playing Frontiers was a relatively enjoyable experience and I was surprised how they managed to handle the story compared to the previous games.

While I did enjoy my time in the open world and going through the stages and bosses, I can't help but feel as if Sega needed more time to work on Frontiers. A lot of the world objects don't feel like they belong in the world, especially with the platforms and rails floating in the sky. I also wish that the Star Islands were more distinct, visually speaking.

The combat leaves much to be desired too. While it is satisfactory at best, I can't help but feel disappointment whenever I try to do specific actions like jumping out of a boost, only for the game to force me to use a special move.

Despite all of the problems I encountered, I still enjoy this game. I just hope Segas development team will receive a better budget with their next game lol.

The first time I saw this game, I instantly knew I would have a lot of fun with it. And I was right.

The game itself takes everything good about the Spark series and amps it up even further. The stages are super varied in presentation and level design. The combat has been improved so that you can actually pull off some really interesting combinations. My only complaint is that I wish I could use more of my tools on the fly but I'll chalk it up to the controller limitations.

I really don't have much to say about this game because it simply nails everything I love about this specific genre of platforming. And even though people want to compare this game to the Sonic series, I feel like it nails speed based platforming in it's own way.

I'm utterly glad this game exceeded my expectations and I hope more people give this game a chance. It's incredible to play.

Arguably one of the best shooters I've ever played.

The combat takes a bit to get used to since you're constantly swapping through weapons but once you understand the combat mechanics of the game as well as get used to the movement, it feels glorious.

For a DOOM game though, it feels like it's doing it's own thing rather than trying to emulate the past games, which I welcome. I thought 2016 was alright for it's time but DOOM Eternal really feels like they ramped up every aspect of DOOM, ranging from the visuals to the core gameplay.

10/10. Definitely replaying for a very long time.

Skyrim at it's core is honestly one of the buggiest games I've ever played but it also one of the most influential games I've played (during it's release) The vanilla game is honestly not very good but is greatly enhanced when mods are applied to it. Especially since some bugs are game breaking (certain missions won't start, game crashes)

The game definitely gives you plenty to do in the overworld. I've sunken nearly 3k hours so far (due to playing, downloading mods, creating mods, taking screenshots) and I still find new things that I haven't come across before. The story however is pretty weak in the main game.
For the DLCs though, I definitely recommend going through Dragonborn. It's packed with a lot of interesting quests to do and has some really nice visuals on the island.

Combat is bland compared to a lot of games (Dragon's Dogma, Dark Messiah, Witcher 3 to name a few). Melee doesn't really have any sort of skills that you obtain. The stuff that you earn are usually basic actions that any other game has.

Magic on the other hand can be fun to play but levels abysmally with the character. Mostly with Destruction magic.
You can't level up Destruction magic AT ALL. The most you are able to do is buy stronger spells which will eventually not work very well against higher level enemies.

Overall, if you're new to Open World games, this is a pretty laid back game to get into. However for those that are looking for a more quality experience, I feel like this game won't really be for you.

As an avid Monster Hunter fan, this game is by far the best co-op game I've ever played, hands down.
I started off playing Monster Hunter Tri back on the Nintendo Wii and eventually became hooked to the game. On top of that, I've also played 3U, 4U, and Mon Hun Generations. Throughout the series, I have loved playing this with friends of mine and World has improved almost every aspect of Monster Hunter as a whole.

Story
While flawed, the story is a definite step up compared to the previous games. The cinematic cutscenes of monsters returns in this game (seeing how it was absent from Mon Hun Generations). Not only that but you feel more involved with the game's plot because the surrounding characters acknowledge the player throughout the story. With the addition of voice acting, while kinda subpar, is a nice addition. And even if you don't want actual voice acting, you can change the voices to the old MonHun grunts from previous games.

Graphics And Performance
The visual artstyle of World is stunning. I nearly spent hours just walking around the world in order to check out very minor details. Every area that you come across is filled to the brim with life. Creatures such as birds, fish, insects, frogs will all be placed along the landscape as you venture in the world. Also the design of each worldspace has been carefully handcrafted to feel as if it's a actual ecosystem. However aside from that, World doesn't perform very well even on high end PCs. I found myself going through framerate issues a lot. When fighting monsters, ANYTHING that uses any particale effect will drain your fps. Lightning, fire, water, you name it. Not only that but World has insane CPU usage compared to other games as well.

To put it in perspective, I have the following:
  • Harddrive 1: 250GB Samsung SSD (Which MonHun World is installed on)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-7700K 4.20 GHz
  • Video/Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 1070GTX
  • Memory: 16GB DDR4 3000Mhz
  • Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
  • PSU: 750W PSU Corsair Gold Modular

Even with this, my rig barely manages to get 60fps unless I turn off volumetric fog as well as some AA options. I find this to be the biggest issue I've had with this game.

Co-Op and Online
Networking issues can be iffy depending on your netcode and the people you connect to. I never had any issues AFTER the patches for MHW were released shortly after launch.
BEFORE launch, the netcode was downright terrible and was arguably one of the worst experience I had when it comes to online matchmaking.

Now since the patches were released, the connection issues I previously had diminished to a point where they are almost nonexistent. There are still some hiccups here and there but it's leagues better compared to before the patches that were released.

Gameplay and Mechanics
If you're a returning veteran to the series, jumping into Monster Hunter will feel a whole lot better in comparison to the previous games. The controls feel very responsive and is easy to get into even for newcomers. All of the 14 previous weapons return in Monster Hunter World, with upgrades that make them even more enjoyable to play with.
Monsters (even though there's no G Rank) are pretty difficult endgame and the additional content that gets added with World continues to breathe life into the game. So players have an incentive to continue playing, especially with events and rewards that give the players extra points and armor spheres.
Most of the improvements with MH:W comes from the quality of life changes that have been included. Stuff such as:

  • Faster gathering times (Mining is faster, can pick up stuff while running)
  • Running while applying heals/buffs is a thing
  • No more load times for map sections since they are all connected now
  • Unlimited whetstones and pickaxes that don't break.
  • Scout flies replacing the paintball system, making tracking monsters easier.
  • Multiple camps in each area so you can travel to different spots of the map
  • THE ABILITY TO CHANGE GEAR AT CAMP
There's a lot more that they have added and changed that I didn't list because there's just too much to talk about. The monsters that return to World have been upgraded with new animations, moves, and AI behavior. And the new monsters that are introduced to the series are all uniquely designed, with their own moveset separate to the previously existing ones. Monsters also engage in turf wars under specific situations which can turn the tide of the battle. And as I previously stated, you are able to use scout flies to track the monster since it replaces the paintball system. However, to track them, you collect footprints, hair, mud, scales, and etc. This can be brought to the research center to level up your progress in studying a specific monster. Doing all of this makes the monster easier to track, enabling you to immediately pinpoint it's location within the map the moment you start a quest.

Review: TL;DR Version

Pros:
Improves on previous elements of the series and adds new mechanics/gameplay
Great visuals and stunning world design
Solid Co-Op gameplay (post patches)

Cons:Performance issues tied to framerate and high cpu-usage

Great co-op experience, especially with friends. I highly recommend buying this game if you have people to play with. If not, playing solo is still really enjoyable.

I normally don't pick up fighters very often but after being convinced to try this game, I've considered it to be one of my favorite fighters. GGXRD Rev2 has tons of content and information, ranging from tutorials to help the player understand various situations in matches to having a F.A.Q. on the most basic questions that a newcomer will have.

Pros:
- Great music and visual design
- A lot of guides and tutorials to help the player
- Interesting mechanics to keep players engaged
- A solid cast of characters to choose from, which all have varying styles of gameplay
- GOD-LIKE LOBBY SYSTEM

Cons:
- Introduces a "Danger Time" mechanic that causes every hit to be a mortal counter (Personally didn't like it)
- Can be hard to pick up for a newcomer due to the numerous amount of mechanics.
