Like Half life 1 and SCP had a weird survival craft baby and i love it! there's alot of room here for expansion since its in early access, and the team surely seems to be wanting the best for it! a roadmap already planned out and ready to go and not to mention they already released a patch fixing bugs.

i see a bright future for Abiotic-Factor and i hope i get to see it become what the dev's intended

also beware the co-worker.

What the game has done right;

• core game concepts of go to point A -> B or Push Cart A -> Point B, C, D, so almost ALL modes are easy and simple enough to learn
  
  
• most weapons are single shot and are rewarding for having improved on actual skill
  
  
• great example of what Team based gameplay SHOULD BE !
  
  
• classes like Soldier, Engineer, and Pyro are easy to learn for new players and provide Support where needed with Sidegrade weapons and other Subclasses

What the Game Does Wrong;

• Steep learning Curve especially even later in the game for more advanced movements which might make some players leave early on and put the game down
  
  
• the game is (at the time of this review 02/06/20) infested with bots and Valve has done almost little to nothing about it, and should definitely address the problem more Promptly and swiftly or this game will certainly die with a Whisper and Whimper (not that many games have tried before and failed)
  
  ^^EDIT FOR THE NEGATIVE ABOVE! as of 6/20/22 there was a patch released which fixed bots on NA servers, EU/AUS/ASIA/SA servers still seem to have bot problems!
  
  
• Matchmaking on Official servers can either take forever or milliseconds depending on whether you're partied or not.
  
  
• most new players who haven't spent money or don't wish to spend money will end up as a F2P (free-to-play) account and be literally silenced as most if not all voice commands and text chat are unavailable to F2P's because of the bot problem plaguing this game

Is the game fun? - Short Answer; YES!

Longer Answer; yes, its fun but it does have it's moments as team composition is random but that's actually what makes it both fun and frustrating in the first place. the game has an amazing community behind it and it has a colorful cast of character's that make the game spring to life and the lore that Valve has made for this game through the official comics they have, is one to thoroughly get mentally invested in as its crazy crew of merc's have charming personalities and even in-game their voice lines reflect this!

the amount of Love and care for this game that the Community has is purely astounding and i'd HIGHLY recommend that you try this game at for at least 50-150 hours and truly see what the game can offer you in terms of both community, gameplay and fun value before you go tossing it out and throwing it with the mountain of other games you've played. its an absolute titan that has lasted far longer than other games that have tried to kill it off.
