The tower must grow

Whilst I would not recommend the product as it is today I do believe that with some effort this game has all the right features to be improved upon and make a squeal better than the first. While there are new features in this game it fails to improve upon or maintain the previous games features. I think that it will take a few months, like with Cyberpunk 2077 for this game to be in a state where I would genuinely endorse and recommend this game to people. There are glaring performance issues on older hardware even if the goal is 30 fps, I notice strong stuttering and even lag when first trying to navigate the menu. There is still lots of work to be done and I think the only reason it wasn't another Cyberpunk style of release is because of the band aid fixes to several features.

The actual game play can be enjoyable at times however it does feel like the menus and building are clunky at best and outright annoying at worst. While there are times when the game runs exactly as you would think it should it still needs more support for quickly trying to do things, the game almost forces you to slow down and push it along. Road snapping and zone blocks can be infuriating when trying to make custom grids, not making perfect 90 degree angles despite the clear right angle, leading to crocked roads and imperfect zoning.

I have enjoyed some of my time playing this however I think I am just forcing myself to play more of it every time I launch it to try and get my moneys worth. Overall I would give this game a 4.3/10 and that is just me being generous because of my love of the first game.
