King of Fighters 13 is a great game with mostly positives but a few almost devastating negatives.

The game is really hard to get into, but really fun once you get decent at it. Combos lack a buffering system, so you must time them all right. Heck, some combos require 1-2 frame accuracy, but aren't necessary to do well. To combo normals, you have to input your attack right in the freeze frames(hitlag, not hitstun) which take sometime to master. But once you do, you can really enjoy the game for what it is.

The gameplay itself is fun. There are plenty of unique characters with their own playstyles, however the roster is primarily dominanted by shotos (aka Ryu like characters). If you are sick of these types of characters, there aren't alot of characters for you. There are also minor balance issues, as characters like Kim feel significantly stronger(as in have more options in any scenerio) than a character like Elizabeth.

Combos are also handled well for the most part. Stray hits deal a good amount of damage making combos not necessary to not get a time over and also landing any hit makes you feel satisfied. The combo structure is flawed when HD cancels are considered though. When you fill up 2 gauges of "Drive Meter", you can go into a powered up state that allows you to infinitely cancel special moves into each other until the duration ends... leading to very long and boring combos. These long combos only tend to happen once a round due to how useful drive is in matches, but they are very annoying when they do occur.

Neutral game is also not that exciting or intense. It feels like Street Fighter 2 but with short hops, rolls, and some air special moves. There aren't any install supers, interesting environment affecting attacks, or anything that forces you to change your approach asides maybe some land mines. This can leave the neutral game feeling pretty mediocure when comparing it to a mvc game or Guilty Gear, but I can see that the simple neutral could appeal to some people.

Lastly, the casual content is not that good. This isn't any Neither Realm game and it shows. All you have is custom colors, Arcade, and Story mode for casual players(ignoring the obvious stuff like gallery, replays ,or online mode).

Custom colors is REALLY good as you get to unlock colors over time and you can save up to 6 colors. All characters have more than 6 colors to change on them and some can go up to the 20s, so you'll always have lots of creativity when it comes to alternate colors.

Arcade Mode does nothing special. Fight a bunch of fights then fight 2 overpowered guys. If you do it well you fight then unlock guys. That is it. No character endings, no unique thing that can make Arcade feel unique, nothing that makes the experience stand out. Well... that isn't entirely true... There are little missions you can complete mid-fights to get more meter in the battle and character dialog... which is actually well done. However, it still feels a little underwhelming.

Story Mode is just a better Arcade Mode. It's arcade mode with a dynamic pathway to choose from with multiple endings, cutscenes in between fights, and nice character dialog(which is also in Arcade mode but the whole team talks at once instead of one guy talks to another, making dialog a lot better). It's pretty good but good luck finding all the endings without an online guide. It is no "play this team and get this team". It's more "play this team at this time, then win or lose then choose that branch" type of thing.

I'd give this game a 9/10. Almost perfect. Definitely highly recommend this title. It may not be as fun at first because of the lacking single player and unaccessible controls, but damn it's really fun when you "git gud".

This review is in reference to all episodes before "FINAL ROUND" and that episode itself:

It is KOF the anime. It isn't better or worse than a regular anime. It does a great job of retelling the classic KOF stories while keeping this interesting while also adding some necessary changes to ensure the series stays exciting and encorporates most classic KOF characters.

It is really good if you play KOF but have no idea why the characters are fighting and if you don't want to sit through blocks of text on wikis to know your favorite character.

However, as I have to point out, I have an unique taste for media so my review may not apply to you. If you like shows like TMNT(2012) or Steven Universe and you play the KOF games, you'll definitely like this. However, if you are trying to get into KOF with this and you haven't actually played the games or you have actual expectations when you go into watching animes, I don't think this is for you. Animation is stiff('Cause motion cature) and fight screens aren't that exciting. The fights consist of people just punching each other, punching a bunch of mideless dudes, and shouting names of iconic attacks to make their opponent die.

The story here is great! The characters don't feel stereotypical nor boring. I will admit some of the characters don't feel too important. In all the episodes I watched, I bet you would only care about your favorite character(mine is Benimeru), Terry Bogard, Geese Howard, Kyo, and maybe Angelina(I didn't care about her because she lacked a distinct or unique personality, but she is very relivant to the plot). Everyone else feels like they're just... there. The other characters don't feel like a waste of time though, as they do have very humorous moments. Especially Kensou, Daimon, Ryo... and BENIMERU.

Also, the anime will force you to get used to it's flaws. It's possible, but hard. Listening to those stock sound effects, awkward character models(when compared to the games. Characters look more generic and less cartoony), and episodes that feel like they waste your time are issues very apparent.

In the future, I hope character models get reworked to resemble how the KOF fighters appear in their games... sprite games. KOF 14 looks awful to me. I prefer how KOF13 protrayed characters in it's artwork.

I'd give this a 6.5/10. It is kinda below average, but it is KOF afterall! I hope characters involved with NESTS*(Kula... and K' and folks like that), cammeo characters, or even Takuma... 'cause who doesn't LOVE Takuma... show up.

I primarily watch this only for the humor and lore. Some of the scenes... intension or not... make me laugh so hard. Intensional jokes include Clark having a smoking problem, Kensou not understanding Chin's advice, Mai scolding Joe instead of Andy for seemily no reason(and Joe being aware of this), Angelina... almost getting raped(I'm an awful person), Mai making Yuri feel envious of her-, and Benimeru's dialouge+existence. Some unintensional jokes consisent of Terry Bogurd having heavy similarities to Ryu, voice acting(despite being in Japanese, some lines feel completely destroyed), VFX being prettier than everything else, classic tv tropes, names of certain characters(Clark Still and Geese Howard were gold mines for joke. "Clark still has that on his birth certificate?" "Jeff Bogurd died! Shouldn't have been messing with the Geese." ), some stiff movements, Mortal Kombat similarities, and suggestive dialouge(some intensional, some not).

So just freakin' watch it. You read all of my crap for nothing actually. It's good. Just watch it, especially if you have a huge sense of humor.

Marvel Versus Capcom 3. The game that makes infinite look so bad. 50 characters, and few stages(in which half are duplicates). Plenty of diverse characters with their own playstyle(Ex: Phoniex needing to get evidence before fighting, and can also still play keep away until landing an "objection", in which he becomes brokenly powerful for a set period of time) or battle strategies(Ex: Akuma and Ryu seem like clones, but Akuma's faster movement and stronger combo game force Akuma and Ryu players to play differently) keeps the game fun for hours on end.

The game is surprising accessible! Combos require very little timing due to high hitstun and the hardest command motion in the game is a Z motion(Which is just forward-hadouken). This is definitely great if you want to play a fighting game fun and quickly. The best part about the accessibilty is that it isn't insultly easy like other games. Some characters require you to throw in assists in tight timing situations that still require skill and practice. However, once you get a hang on something, it usually isn't hard afterwards to you anymore.

I would play this game if your looking for another fighting game to play that has competitive value(or a little...) or if you play lots of accessible games(Ex: Smash Bros, Fantasy Strike, Trash-Eh... Smash 4) and you want a way to enjoy traditional fighting games quickly.

I'm really hyped for Dragon Ball Fighter Z, which I imagine will be good. Infinite seems to just reuse this game's assets in a ridiculous manner. I give this game a 9/10, almost perfect. Would pay any reasonable price for this. Unless you have eyes on Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite, which is like the SAME game with more (less characters right now) content and "better" mechanics.

(Please note that I have never played Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite. I lack evidence to support if the game is any good)

MY THIRD FAVORITE RACING GAME GOT A SEQUEL. THE BEST SEQUEL A GAME COULD EVER HAVE. Like the previous game, even just a little bit. Get the f***ing game please. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?

New? Well, let me explain to you why it is good:

Unique tracks that change as you race.

Variety in game modes(World Tour).

Visually distinct characters.(WOOP, WOOP! No? No one really cares about characters? Or is that just me...)

Fun, engaging mechanics.

Accessible, but SURPRISING COMPLEX racing engine that actually takes time to be mastered.

And the best announcer in gaming.

In other words, this game is the result of taking any good fighting game and making it a racing game. Juicy combos formed by drifts, zippies, and stunts instead of attacks? Check. An announcer that makes you feel like a boss? Check. Many, MANY modes? Check! And probably the best racing game sense Double Dash? CHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKK.

Please buy this game. 8/10, Really good! I recommend buying it under 40 dollars. If anything, wait for Steam sales to pass and buy this game at full price. IT IS LITERALLY WORTH IT. JKJK! That is crazy. But my point is it is god tier good.

Note: I technically got this game free because a friend gave me this as a gift. I did originally buy this game for Xbox 360 before recieving the Steam version, so don't even actually take that in note.

I love fighting games! I love them too much. Heck, I don't even like video games that much, honestly. Fighting games are usually the only games I play... but Steam sales. Oh, Steam sales. Lord Gabe gave Guacamelee a price of one... little... dollar... and a few cents. So, I picked it up because... Steam sales. All I can say is that it is alright. Not something I'll come back to, as there are way too many fighting games out there. They're all waiting to be mastered. I can't get myself to play this again for fun!

Sans has stole the president's daughter and now it is up to you, Zangief, to save the daughter for mutha russia. Yeah, I don't pay attension to stories of video games. I mean, if I did, then Street Fighter would I confused me so much...

Anyway, this is a fun beat'em up with lots of platforming and combat. The combat is satisfing and there is plenty of enemy varity. The enemies are never unfair, just challenging and tough in numbers.

Combos are REALLY satisfing in this game. They are performed by using all of your unique attacks in anyway you want. This game feels like playing 3.0 PM Mewtwo or Melee Fox in turbo mode. YOU'RE UNSTOPPABLE! Want to cancel shoryuken into headbutt? Feel free to. The best part is you can upgrade your abilities to wombo combo your enemies even more. You can upgrade your stamina bar to cancel into more special moves in a combo. Want to add a belly flop into that uppercut head combo? BOOM! You can now once you get the upgrades. It is easy and VERY satisfing to come up with a long combo yourself out of moves that you didn't even consider that useful in a fight. It is so tasty to try all your combos against unique opponents who require different methods of comboing.

Heck, battles don't feel like they come often! Your mostly platforming, fighting bosses, and reading or seeing a bunch of video game/culture references. Bust it Bill: The black, angry Ralph. A wood sign that resembles Cactuar. Using an axe to cut down a bridge that a monster tries to cross to kill you to then be told your princess is in another castle. However, these jokes can be very corny at times when ALL of the games you play pretty much constantly make these references. This game does but a lot of twist on these classic references to other games, but not enough to not come across as corny. But that could be just me. A lot of people love these random references for some reason...

Great game! Pick it up for prices anywhere below 30 dollars. Except if you are me and you have too many fighting games to play. In that case, buy it if it is... a dollar. 7.5/10, above average.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT I GOT THIS GAME FOR A DOLLAR.

Wait, hold on. Why would anyone waste their time writing a review for a free game? Uh... I don't know.

Brawl...HALLA is a fun game that changes a lot about the smash formula. As a Melee veteran, I can tell you playing this game like Melee is like playing Mario Kart like Mario Party. YOU WILL LOSE IF YOU DARE TO:

Trying to gimp in a game with infinite jumps and no edges is DUMB.

Trying to wavedash is DUMB due to the fact the animation still plays on the ground... leaving you kinda open.

Trying to L-cancel is DUMB.

Rarely using Smash attacks (Strong as there called in this game) is DUMB.

And trying to change your mindset on how to approach an opponent for each character is DUMB.

In this game, animations and lag stay until you're hit or it ends. Meaning you can hit the ground with an aerial and your character will still wift their attack. Smash attacks are fast and EXTREMELY useful in this game because of the fact you can start the attack on an edge and continue the attack OFF-STAGE.

Heck, characters aren't really different from each other. It is the weapons that you pick up mid-match that determine your playstyle. The only main difference between characters really are their smash attacks(yes, characters can have the same weapon).

So go play the game. Nothing will happen to your game experience if you play with or without pay. Paying is only their to personalize your characters. My only issue is the game simplicity. No advanced tech, no moves with many alternate uses. The game is painfully straightforward for what it is. Brawlhalla is a great name for this game. I guess Rivals of Aether would be Meleehalla and Brawlout would be 64halla. But what would be Smash 4halla?

Trash, of course! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trash_(video_game)) I give Brawlhalla a 6/10. Below average. I recommend it to those who keep items on or want a unique twist on the smash genre.

Sonic Generations is fun and mostly functional.

Sonic Generations is unlike games like Sonic Heroes, Sonic Adverture, or the classic trilogy. Sonic Generations finally allows Sonic to run very quickly again like Sonic Unleashed. He doesn't move as slowly as Sonic Adverture or feels like ice like Sonic Heroes. Sonic moves quickly. Even Classic Sonic is fast (when spin dashing). I love Sonic Generations and it is actually a good game.

Problems range from the Controller support. Sometimes, Xbox 360 controllers (or XInput controllers) won't function and DInput's LB and RB buttons press themselves randomly. I'm serious too, just so you know. So it is recommended that you use Xpadder if you want to play this game with a controller.

Generations has great graphics, great gameplay, and you feel fast and feel like you can control yourself.

Personally, this is the third Sonic game I like (the first being Sonic Colors and the second Sonic Unleashed) because it is a good Sonic platformer. All other Sonic games feel slow or unplayable. So if you want to run at the speed of sound with control, Sonic Generations needs to have a playdate.

I'll give this game a 7/10. Great. I'll get it if it has a price tag of 15 dollars. But I could be playing cheap... So buy it if you liked the demo. The game doesn't get better or worse from the point of the demo.

Rivals of Aether Review:

Do you love Super Smash Brothers and want more?

Then play Rivals of Aether! It is a lot of fun to play another fighting game that uses the creative formula of smash.

Unlike other Smash Clone games, it is hard to call this game that. It is made very well. It has creative attacks and ablities like smash attacks in air(Wraster), fire that allows you to power up your smash attacks(Zetterburn), or being able to be a liquid organism that makes people scared of puddles! (Guess who that is...) Also, this game has an awesome and easy combo system. The game plays like smash, but with more hitstun and less knockback. That means lots of combos that require strategy to avoid.

The issue comes in the form of errors. Errors appeared alot when I was playing this game. That really made it fell cheap when the game so well crafted.

However, the errors don't appear too often. It is too much fun anyway, so it is worth it to play the game. Even if those errors are an issue.

Overall, I give this game a 4/5! Play it when the full version releases. So far, the game is worth $2.00 at it's current build.
