Early Access Review
Most of the negative reviews seem to overlook the fact that this is an early access game. It isn't finished and there are updates and bug fixes released frequently.
That said, this is still, in its current form, more enjoyable than many other city-builder/god games out there. There's a great interconnectedness between the lives of the villagers, and more than one route to prosperity. The historical accuracy is wonderful, and the little irritations are slowly being removed one-by-one.

Oh my days! I followed the development of this game so closely when it was with 3DR and I was so excited to play it. Then it was unplayable on Linux for so long, so I waited even more... almost 20 years. What a waste. The mouse controls are too stiff, the dialogue is stilted and the 'open world' is a lie. It feels like a patronising rat-run; you progress through the game, slowly (because you can't move the mouse enough, sorry you have to learn where the baddies come from to position yourself correctly) because there is no other option. Rubble, or busses line the path, forcing you to progress in a very linear way, which is actually quite intrusive. Worth it for the sake of completeness only, definitely not a good stand-alone game.

This game just won't die. It is good enough with the base game, but the expansion packs are often on sale and there's a never-ending supply of workshop content. There isn't an 'endgame' where your arcos take off in to space, either, so you just keep on playing (and getting increasingly irritated with managing your traffic...)
Edit: Further expansion packs have made the traffic management both easier and more complicated.

Simply everything you'd want from Theme Hospital 2018.

It is dark, morally ambiguous and disturbingly addictive. It is the most horrific, depressing game I've ever played, but it is also thought-provoking, brilliant and poetic.

Early Access Review
This game is turning out to be an incredible remake of C3. Sure there are bugs, but it is EA, so that's bound to happen. Many of the reviews complaining about missing textures and things are expecting this to be a complete game, however at the moment, it still depends on original C3 files, so if you don't have these you will have missing textures.

There are very regular updates and it is already in a playable state, even fixing some of the bugs I experienced with the original C3 game.

Keep it up!!

Brilliant concept, tricky puzzles and the humour of GLaDOS was impeccable.
