Early Access Review
Great game, but it gets repetitive.

I once absolutely loved this game. The premise, the work, the playerbase. It's great to jump into and get immersed in. I've done everything from be a bandit to run a small cult. But there-in lies it's problem, you can do everything. Since you can do everything it means you will. You'll shoot others many times, hold off hordes of zombies, and finally get the perfect set of gear for yourself. But then what? You either get shot and start all over or you just stay where you're at in the game and call it good there. Eventually you learn to survive and the challenge dies out. You'll learn where to loot, what's valuable and what's junk, even how to pull off the perfect robbery. But once you're done with all of that there's nothing left to do.

So in summary I can't suggest this game. It's wonderful, but in the end dull. If you're willing to stick it out to the end (the finaly beta release) I can assure you you won't have wasted a single penny. But if you're looking for something that you can feel accomplished playing then this is not for you, until we can build our own small villages/societies there's no point other than loot the town, kill the zombies, have the gunfight, wash, rinse, and repeat.

I played this game for a little over two hours and let me tell you they were a grueling two hours. The map system doesn't do a good job of distingushing between the various levels on the map, nor does it accurately mark where things are. Furthermore, leaving the designated safe zone is practically giving a green light to every other player to shoot you in the face multiple times. Not to fear if you die though you can respawn! (If you decide to wait, or better yet pay money, very foreboding of microtransactions). Other than that this game is practically just Second Life but with guns. Sure it has a few "skills" you can train by pressing the button to accept training then waiting upwards of 120hrs for a timer. Furthermore the game shoots itself in the foot by allowing anyone and everyone willing to wait out the skill timers total access to your things. Yup, no safe places here, if some ten year old kid decides he wants your stuff then by all means he can litterally go into your apartment and take everything. All in all the game seemed like such a great promise but it's sub-par planning means that it'll eventually topple itself and we'll have one more game on steam that just takes up space.

This was one of my first D&D PC games. The enhanced edition captures all the nostalgia of the original game and lives up to its name as the Enhanced Edition with great new features such as new characters, quests, an extra storyline (The Black Pitts), and a much better multiplayer base. If anyone is looking for a great way to just relax, save a few villagers, and kill a BUNCH of Kobolds along the way then try living the 90's D&D adventure.
