Listen, if you like the game, that's great. I'm glad people were somehow able to actually enjoy this and not feel like they are wasting their time with it. I'll explain:

Persona 4 is simply just better in every way. This game makes me feel like someone is grabbing me from the back of my neck and forcing me to play it how they want me to play, while 4 dropped me off and didn't explain all that much but let me learn how to play the game by giving me the respect as a player to have basic knowledge of things. 5 is a different story all together where it thinks you're an idiot and need multiple paragraphs, tutorials, and several different conversations over the span of hours to explain how combat, skills, personas, and even fusion works.

Worst of all, this cast of friends are annoying as hell. They are so bland and lifeless. What made 4 so much enjoyable was that they were kids who were all curious, self conscious, def not perfect, and weren't shy about the fact they they easily developed crushes and felt flustered around each other. They were kids that didn't know who they were yet trying to figure out their identity, esp through their sexualities. That really strike me as someone who had those issues as a kid, who didn't know who or what I'd turn into after school.

The cast of 5 on the other hand, they have no issues or flaws. Sure, they can be sad and have bad childhoods, but nothing close to questioning themselves, their identities, sexuality, gender, they were just "characters" in a video game. People say they really liked this cast but none of them feel like real people, I can't relate to any of them. Even Ann has nothing interesting about her. When going thought their ranks, I just didn't find anyone's story very interesting. Ann is just a model, Ryuji has an injury but wants to do track, and so forth. No one really has any flaws or actual struggles. Everyone is technically a perfect person outside of "silly quirky comedic writing."

The art direction for this game, like, how the UI in the menus and all work is just nauseating. I can't tell you how gross it feels having all this stuff spammed in my face when im just trying to find items, equipment, look at personas. It's so over done. I do like the actual drawn artwork but they are killing me with how busy alot of this game is.

I also just feel like this game is heavily bloated. I guess you could say "you don't like when the game has more content?" But, I really find it frustrating how palaces work in this game. They are so boring. I get that for this one, they want to make you feel like a thief, but I enjoyed how it was in 4 where you're just running around to find stairs. Instead in 5, where I'm now having to take 3-5 hours to do a palace where I could have done it in 30-45 minutes in 4.

I can't really name an aspect of this game I actually like, since the cast isn't fun, the palace's get boring fast, and even the story itself isn't that interesting. I don't really know who this game is for. I'd perfer it if it just wasn't so "handholdy" most of all.

This game is really awesome! It handles the comedic tones with its horror elements very well. I enjoy the main girl as well as the people you meet along the way. The game has a lot of suspenseful moments to it, and when you finally let your guard down, it kills you! Very much enjoying the experience of this game. I heavily recommend anyone to play this game.

I think this is my favorite game ever made. Its so relaxing and no matter how many times I play it I get caught up in roaming the world or just cruising in a car listening to the music. All the characters are like-able and the online is fun to play too. I love crashing other's sessions and see other people also just wandering around in silly vehicles they found or also exploring the city. Safe to say that still after its launch date, I would consider this one of the best games ever.

I can't express how badly this game makes me want to physically hurt someone. The only reason I'm even playing this game is because my friends are all stupid babies with their soft spots pushed in and I hate all my friends. So I won't let them beat me at a stupid game like this.

Honestly, it's an alright game. Been waiting for its full release, so I have alot of time playing it during every patch and class update before full release. But taking a look back and really looking at the full content of the world, it all just screams, "meh." The Underdark wasn't really all that interesting, compared to BG2, and act 2 was mostly boring. Then you get to act 3 and then not only does the game barely run, but you have the worst endgame story final boss ever. After the end of act 2, I just gave up on this game. (I still beat it, just didn't care to explore it as much)

I just expected Act 1 to just be in that forest area, but then it becoming full exploration to anywhere after that, but it didn't.

Storywise, it just lost me. You are just some random person, even if you pick being a child of Bhaal. Your companions are all also just random nobodies. You and your party are the equivalent of dirt eats and glue drinkers, but you suddenly have this extremely insane and epic quest I've ever heard since playing Magical Starsign for the DS. I have no idea how anyone expects us to save reality itself and the entire multiverse while being some living ticking time bomb tiefling, an alien, and a pathetic excuse for a "vampire".

The companions are also really boring, except for Lae'zel, who I genuinely would do anything for and was the reason I felt sad when the game ended. Everyone else, though, are just uninteresting. I suppose it be unfair if I were to compare this game to Bg1 and Bg2, but those game had several fun and interesting companions all with different alignments and agendas. This game basically had everyone be a "good" alignment, unless you got the drow companion. But once I acquired her, I just got bored of her.

The combat is fine, but I never really fought anyone I really cared about.

Other things, making a character and playing through the stories with them is kinda boring. This game has limited customization. It's like they put alot of effort for "cutesy" stuff, liking making women humans, tieflings, and elves, but every other race just got nothing.

I have no real insane review for this game, other to say I'm not impressed. They were trying to make a movie by really detailing all these characters, but then it loses all the personality your character is supposed to have. Every cut scene your character keeps making the same shocked or confused expression and barely any real customization away from the preset faces. I'm supposed to feel immersed with my character, but not if my character is making the same one note face over and over to everything.

If I had to recommend an alternative, I'd say just play Bg1 and Bg2, even Pathfinder really.

If I had to give any positive note, I'm glad this game opened more people up to dungeons and dragons and tabletop roleplaying. It's always nice to see people interested in making characters and wanting to get involved.

Early Access Review
This game has an extreme disadvantage to the player right out the gate. You are in a room where everyone basically has a bomb plus projectiles. Whoever thought just having one enemy type was a good idea, and that one type is projectile, seriously needs to reconsider the term "fun". Everyone has a bomb, and it doesn't help being in a room with constant enemies spawning in just throwing bombs. I can dash and sprint, but I'll still be killed by the enimes no matter what. This isnt a skill based game, but a gambling based game, that everytime you die, you hope you respawn with better gear and better eneimes that dont constantly throw bombs at you.
Even the boss, not just the mini bosses, but the bosses have wide range blasts explosions that kill you. Why is there so many bombs. To compare this to something as fun and skilled based, like Dark Souls, is honestly sad. As the combat is luck based, than skill, as the rooms of each chamber is also filled with bombed trapped panels. Cool, not only am I trying to not die to the entire room being setup by bombs by the pot enemies, i cant even cover or move anywhere save, in a tiny, clustered room, due to spike panels and spear panels.
Overall, I felt that I had no true way of winning or getting past anything, due to this combat system that this game creates. I immediatly feel discouraged from even attempting to retry the boss fights, as I have to climb my way from the bottom, back to where I was, just to be in a room where theres a boss and over 20 other enemies spawn, shooting projectiles and bombs at me.
