Back in October of 2021, I learned of this game and tried it out as I heard so much positivity about it. However, something felt... off when I played it - enemies weren't dying (even on standard), using multiple weapons wasn't really incentivized, and overall it didn't really feel like it was like what I had heard it hyped up to be. However, I knew this game was undergoing active development, and I promised myself I would check it out later down the road when the game is more complete.

Fast forward to April of this year. I bought the game again after seeing a snippet of some of the latest levels and weapons added to the game. Booted it up, deleted my old save, and started fresh. And can I just say...

Since then, I have put only a sliver of time that many others have into this game, and I can confidently say this is without a doubt the best FPS game to exist - AND IT'S NOT EVEN FINISHED (at the time of this review). The sheer amount of tech (or if you prefer a simpler term, cool ♥♥♥♥) that the game never tells you about but you can figure out and master consistently performing them with time is insane, the weapon variety is incredible and is hand-built to synergize with pretty much everything else available in your arsenal which makes you feel like you're playing a fighting FPS with how many combos you can do, enemy types are varied and each have their own strengths and weaknesses which further encourage variety, and overall it just feels SO GOOD to obliterate everything in your path, or at least try to but die horribly, especially when playing on the higher difficulties. If the gameplay alone isn't enough (somehow), there's more to discover in the secrets and also the lore (if you're into that kind of stuff), and the OST is what I can best describe as a masterpiece of artwork in auditory format.
