I love monster hunter immensely, the wait for this game for my wife and i was extremely exciting, when the beta came out we were beyond ecstatic for the final release, unfortunately when it finally DID release, we were greeted with what we both thought was a rather middling game, a story that isn't very interesting and is extremely intrusive to the core gameplay we've come to expect from playing previous titles

all of this culminating with the games horrible optimization that just makes us not want to play it, a friend of mine helped me build a completely new rig with THEIR OWN recommended specs only for the game to still run far below what it should be, they seriously expect you to rely on frame generation which is just lazy. this game features constant crashes, a lot of seriously questionable bugs, un-intuitive quest initiation, somehow having a worse lobby system than GU or even rise (what?) baffling core mechanic changes, menus and UX in general being very bad. even just playing the story with friends is somehow worse than World. Seamless co-op and better optimization is all we would've wanted for this game to be OK.

the best part about this game is undoubtedly the gameplay, but every other part of it falters so badly that on top of them charging more for this game especially for the state that it's in is nothing less than insulting.

persona 5 was always a game that eluded me ever since its original release on ps3/ps4. it was always something i wanted to play- i just never had the means to do so

thanks to a very generous friend of mine, i was able to finally experience the game and for someone like myself, I find it difficult for new experiences to keep me engaged, persona 5 though managed to keep me glued to what was going on and i genuinely wanted to see how things played out, some characters don't get as much love as others but I still loved them all the same regardless

many of the games sequences are memorable, the soundtrack is truly sublime and for me personally, it provides some food for thought with it's message and made me have some self reflection.

this truly is one of the best games ive ever played and should definitely be something any fan of the rpg genre should try

i love this game, it's what got me back into trying the series at all, but capcom's horrible practices really deserve to be shunned

the mind of Mason Lindroth continues to provoke a sense of unfamiliarity and bewilderment with his surrealist style of artwork, bolstered and complimented further by the brilliance of a soundtrack oozing with personality by Chuck Salamone.

this game is art in it's own way that manages to encapsulate you with it's unique trappings

certainly a lot better than ds3 minus the amount of sponge in this one
