Possibly my favorite game in one of my favorite series of all time. A perfect combination of horror, adventure games, and a dash of tense action, with likable characters in a completely ridiculous story.

A city builder where even the most basic act of shaping a road and lining it with peasant hovels is extremely satisfying.

Tekken 7 was basically my intro to actually wanting to get "good" at fighting games and is probably one of my favorite games of all time. This is very much not Tekken 7.

Great co-op horror game with a fantastic gameplay loop, enhanced by amazing use of voice chat effects and sound.

F.E.A.R. meets Crysis, along with the loudest gun sound effects modern scientists could produce.

Combines all the aspects of platformers I love to make-a the perfect pie.

It's Dwarf Fortress!!!!!!!

A wonderful sandbox / engineering game with a bunch of depth that you're encouraged to experiment with, rather than the game merely telling you everything you need to do. The music is simple, and there's only a couple tracks, but it's charming and nice to listen to. Play the demo and if it tickles you even the tiniest amount, buy the full game, it's a fantastic experience, even at only 15-20 levels in.

I got this game thinking it was gonna just be a fun little FPS game with some cool mechanics, but the way the game continues to introduce new mechanics and crazy boss fights blew my mind, one of the best retro-styled FPS games I've played in a long time.
