Yeah so I supported this game since day one and thought it could be the SWAT 5 we all wished for but it just became another generic tactical shooter that feels like a less fleshed out version of Rainbow Six Vegas 2's terrorist hunt with shiny Unreal Engine Store assets.

Nothing about RoN feels finished, leave alone polished.
All the cool stuff that they showed of in their early dev updates are missing or half assed and AI was used for a lot of art and the subtitles, so those are a mess too.

Coincidentally they released their version 1.0 (as they call it) just short of christmas, showed of a crazy good trailer (which shows a lot of stuff that is not in the game) and as we got to play it.. it was underwhelming to say the least.

Now they released a DLC which contains 3 maps (which are bought assets that are modified as far as I know) and some cosmetics which can be only used for multiplayer btw.

The maps are not integrated in the commander mode that was also hyped when they announced 1.0 so they are only playable in practice mode or multiplayer.
The reason for this decision is "because of the lore" as the DLC maps are supposed to play 4 years after the other missions which firstly is a super lazy reason because the "story" of this game is not really linear or the sellingpoint in any way and secondly is not even true because in the main game maps a hurricane is mentioned in the port map which then is a theme in the DLC (which, once again, plays 4 years after the main game)



TL;DR:
Play SWAT 3 or 4 with mods and experience an actual good SWAT themed game.

Could be the new DayZ but still lacks a lot of content and functions you would like to have if you come from said game. The engine however is a lot better than DayZ's Enfusion engine and it has a lot of nice features.

I got PTSD by playing this game.

What really makes this game stand out from the rest like pavlov or onward is the handling of weapons and equipment and the stock calibration of every single rifle. You can calibrate exactly how you want to hold the weapon with both of the hands.

The community is active and there is also bots and customization.

One of the best VR-experiences I've had.
This is pretty much a better GORN, without the comic-style look, at least for me.
Weapons and combat are realistic and the physics-based fighting feels great.

I really hope for a multiplayer.
