I can't recommend a buy in the state it is in, nor can I really recommend based on how painfully slow early-game is. Got about 30 minutes in and from talking to other players for the next couple minutes I found out the tutorial/beginner quests take longer to complete than you would have time to form a solid opinion of the game and all it's mechanics. The game doesn't show all the mechanics within 2 hours from every video I've watched on the game so far after playing.

Also, this is a personal opinion, but I wish MMOs would just stray away from point and click mechanics in today's day and age. Its incredibly bumming to see a great concept for a game, and you can imagine in your head how cool it would be, and then you find out its point and click. Point and click immediately gets rid of so many options for combat, and the movement is always GLUED to the ground. No jumping, no aerial tech, nothing of the sort. Personally, I enjoy games with more involved mechanics. Real combo-based combat with hit-stun and the sort, WASD movement (and not the kind they whipped up in like 3 minutes for this), and 3-D movement. Games like Light No Fire catch my eye because as far as I can tell, it isn't going to be bound by that restriction.

The WOW/FFXIV combat that plagues so many MMOs is my kryponite when it comes to this. It just completely rids me of the motivation to keep playing a game. Not fast paced enough.

Looks fun until you realize the learning curve is enormous and building a single boat takes 30 minutes. Building anything bigger than a 9x18 boat takes hours. Also, what's worse is the control scheme. The controls in this game are AWFUL. Theyre so bad

Cool concept, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god awful delivery. sound design is horible, and there's no dynamism in the sound. it all just goes through walls, and sound goes so damn far it always sounds like the monster is right next to you. the only good part is that it's directional.

then, there's the lockers, some rooms only have one locker and the monster can just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ break the locker's door open. no where to run considering the maps are so small. the game is all graphics. which arent even that good to begin with. the game should be about escaping not doing damn tasks. it makes no sense, and ruins the feel.

I'm changing my review because the developer of the game helped me fix the issue I was having. While it did take longer than expected, it wasn't too much of a bother to wait. I believe with the issue I was having out of the way, future buyers that may have come across the same issue will benefit. The game is definitely worth it. It has plenty of game modes and a really, REALLY amazing atmosphere. This game is great for the scary tone and fantastic mechanics. It is scary when it needs to be. The graphics are awesome too. I personally love the movement and physics of the game. It adds so much depth into the game and makes exploration worth while.

My only suggestion for this game would be online co-op. I've tried the local co-op with my girlfriend and it made the experience so much more. It's inconvenient to have to either have someone with you or joined over steam remote play, and having more than two people (say 2-4 player co-op) would add so much to this game in my opinion. Having more co-op game-modes paired with online 2-4 player co-op would make this game big (also in my opinion).

Great game! Though, the zombies in base game are pretty jank, they hit almost instantly so you don't have much a chance to avoid and get in with a knife, the modding community seems really cool! though, I feel like this games needs a little more physics when it comes down to quality of life. Not required but it'd be nice if your hands had collisions with walls and guns, like you could feel are your weapon instead of phasing through it. And it's nice to be able to lean your hand against a wall when peeking around it with a pistol, currently you have to hold a knife in your off-hand to lean against a wall. simple things like your mag having collisions with the gun are neat to have as well! My biggest complaint for this game is the optimization, when I first joined the game, I was lagging like hell, I had to turn all my settings to low with medium resolution to play lagless, also when you lag or have a lag spike, your body ik or hands if you play with just hand disappear and glitch out of existence, making you unable to click the menu, use your weapons and stuff like that. I use a steam valve index with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB with 32 Gigabytes of ram, so I'm pretty sure the game shouldn't be lagging so hard, but from what I see that's the minimum graphics hard so Idk. Might just need to save up for a new one.

Dunno if recieving it as a gift means free, but assuming it does, my girlfriend bought this for me because of how much I wanted to have it. I was planning on getting it for me, her and a friend, but I am saving for something right now. So taking this chance to see if it's even worth it to buy for them, I've been playing non-stop... But the problem is that I can't stop... This game is SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPER fun and addicting. If dopamine had dopamine, this game is it's dopamine. It's that good. My only complaint would be how piercing isnt a very consistent thing, but other than that, this game is FANTASTIC.

10/10 would recommened 24/7

I love this game. I used the Oculus Rift S and It worked completely. It isn't even compatible yet. I bought it for myself and my friend. We played it for 1.6 hours and I'm about to buy it for my little bro. I recommend this for people who really want a VR game that's like Dragon Ball. I do wish that there was something you could do to charge your energy faster other than waiting, but at least it goes up. And even though it worked completely for Oculus, there are still some bugs so I ask for full Oculus support please.

Play this game. Let the 273 hours of play time speak, not me.
