+ ancient era
+ battle mechanics are fun
+ low learning curve for a paradox title
+ three free large patches since launch

- low variety between nations, they all play and feel very similar
- needs a lot of tweaking, additional peace treaty demands and political options
- I need a "no export of food from a specific province" option
- can't assign a horse as consul

Biggest issue for me is the before mentioned similarity between nations, while ofc it was largely Greco-Roman world at the time, north and far east shouldn't feel similar at all.
Another thing is at least to me, it feels like I'm playing as the nation, not as the Imperator.

Having said all that; I look forward to seeing continued development, I really want to love this title

*edited for 1.2, and removed issue about diplomatic range

A real RPG.
Most negative views (that aren't concerning bugs) seem to come from previously pampered playerbase that wish for sights on their bows, a two button combat system and save points on every corner.
Possibly the best open world RPG in my opinion, still some bugs that need weeding out, but we have come a long way since launch.
Extensive on every area, things take a while to learn - for both you and Henry who sucks at everything including fighting.

After losing a fortune on dice poker, an old man living hand to mouth hunting monsters around the continent to fuel his crumbling gambling addiction turns to a P2W card game and hunts - not to mention kills - for cards around the kingdoms to build the ultimate deck he can finally make it big with. Between the duels you can chase women of various hair colors.

I got accused of using a rapid fire mouse in a FPS game after only a week of Clicker Heroes.

10/10 mouse almost worn out already.

In the year of our lord 2015 I expected a lot more from a "HD Edition" of this gem, I was even optimistic for some new heroes or maps, enemies, items, something - not that the game itself wouldn't have been enough.

Or so I thought at least. Because when the "game itself" means neither of the two expansions are included, nor are all of the chronicles, there being no random map generator, or a functional steam multiplayer, support for major mods, or LAN mode..

At least they added more bugs than there ever was in the original version, with a side dish of the "Revised high-definition graphics" that make the game lag noticeably more than any game released this year, with high end engine, played on ultra settings.

Big thumbs up for the game itself, big thumbs down for this Ubisoft version. GOG is your friend if you want your nostalgia.
