This is a hidden gem. If you are okay with visual novels and have a decent headset, check it out.

I'm pretty sensitive to music and this soundtrack messed me up.

Good game! A couple of the bosses were frustrating. A short break and remembering that I don't NEED to parry everything solved most of my problems though.

The weapon system is good fun and led to some funny setups. It was my go-to whenever I got a little stuck, allowing me to change my playstyle without needing to farm or buy upgrade mats. Taping a Hot Dogger onto a jackhammer was one of my personal favorites

Worth the wait! It's more RE4 Remake content, now with a secret spy grapple hook.

I feel like I'm back in 2000, getting lost in an N64//PS1 adventure game all over again. It's pretty refreshing.

Also the movement is really good. You can break the map wide open with b-hops and wall kicks. It feels like the game is encouraging you to do so and figure it out too, as if you just took an alternate harder route.

Surprisingly good fighting game. It's a pretty approachable anime fighter for beginners too.

Online is still in beta, but I sure hope they allow more than 2 players per lobby and spectating in the future.

(Played 25 hours on PS5 before playing on Steam)

Fantastic remake! It was a delight seeing this part of the series re-imagined with a new combat system and series direction in mind. The attention to detail is phenomenal, the gameplay is fast and satisfying once I started parrying/dodging, I hate/love Ashley's AI, my inventory constantly hopped from "excessively poor and unprepared" to "playing inventory tetris to make this damn fish fit". I love this game! I have almost no complaints for the game other than minor visual glitches, the blurriness on scopes and some textures, and I need my Mercenaries mode! The April update can't come soon enough!

It does not replace the 2005 original for me. Both are fantastic games in their own right.

It also seems to run fine on Steam Deck, but only at 30fps at lower settings. It's playable

CONNECTION FAILED
Networking is offline [Reason: HUENEME - CONCORD]

Edit:
Appears to be related to having multiple accounts playing on the same network. I cannot play the game if someone else on my network is also playing.

It's ok. I'd give it a neutral review if I could. It's pretty underwhelming for a mini-game that was delayed for a year. There is barely any content and you've seen it all after a few games. At least it's cross-platform.

Early Access Review
I was supposed to play a bunch of horror games for Spooktober, but I've been addicted to this game instead.

The game is pretty buggy in the current build. Expect connection issues, starting games w/o your whole party joining, invisible guns, overlapping items, accidental duping, incorrect shop items and items disappearing entirely from your storage. If you are overly attached to gear, this game may be hard to stomach due to the bugs and the gameplay loop. Despite all these issues, I keep playing this silly space pirate game.

If you are looking for a decent PvPvE extraction shooter that is easy to get into, keep an eye on this one. Progression is easy once you get the maps down. This can be a little hard since the maps are pretty maze-like, but most sub-areas will have their name above the door/pathway that leads to them. After a while, you should be able to navigate most of the maps even if you haven't fully learned them. I still get lost, but I can still find what I need after running around for a bit.
Play with a headset or surround sound. The sound system is pretty good and you'll be able to pinpoint nearby players and NPCs without much prior knowledge of the map.

Note: BE VERY CAREFUL of AI w/ shotguns at close range or AI w/ anything else at long range. They go crazy and will instantly kill you.

Unless you are extremely patient or jumping in with a lot of friends, skip on this one if you are in NA.

I couldn't get into a PVP game on NA servers after waiting for 20-30 minutes on three separate attempts. I have 3 hours on record and most of that was waiting for matches. I have no idea if this game is even good because I only managed to play one PVE game, which had to be done earlier in the day because that queue was also dead when I first tried finding a game. Granted I first queued up around 4AM, but we only needed 3 players...

New accounts are stuck in empty newbie lobbies, so unless you bring friends or get lucky, you will just have to wait for randoms to eventually show up. It looks like they have a chatroom at least, so you may be able to convince people to stick around in queue. Ranked is apparently more popular than regular PVP, but you need to play PVE or PVP (or open lootboxes) to level up your account before you are allowed to play Ranked. You cannot swap servers through their launcher as well, so unless you have a VPN or something, you are stuck on these empty servers. It does try to get you a match outside your region after sitting in queue for 3 minutes, but I still couldn't find a game anyway.
