I wanted to learn and I did, a little bit, but the game itself is so slow and with so much clicking it got boring (for me).

Maybe I missed this, but I wish I could change the font. Small stuff, great game (achievements, games saved automatically).

Not a full review yet, but throwing out this feature request: not having real time jobs/missions sucks. It might not be for everyone, but it might suit some, especially when you have the option to save a game, like it's the case already. I know the area I'm driving through, and with accelerated time like it is today, segments of the trip get truncated and I wish they weren't so I can see the landscape/scenery like I know it and not portions of it.

Following the steps of the 1st game, this one builds again another very nice story. The effect of surprise compared to the 1st one isn't there anymore, but still enjoyable and highly recommended from my POV.

So very nice story again, great dialogs, multiplayer ability (I haven't tried this yet), a couple of extras/DLC, including one that's like an extra level all together (Minerva's Den), the other one being "Protect the little sister from Splicers as long needed to get achievements".

A couple of things a little bit "annoying":
- when you load a saved game and you have to press Space to play, there's a delay (on my machine at least) and I first, I was "Did I press Space?". And it's just lag or a lack of feedback to the user, you get used to it, but sloppy UX IMO
- The default key bindings are different from the 1st game! And it's not like the ones from the 1st game are now used for something else, no. WTF? We're used to something and you go totally a different path in the sequel, and without a reason (that I can see)?!
- The music was really annoying at time, especially the one that plays during tense moments. So the tense moments end, but the music keeps playing. Annoying, I had to lower the music volume
- The game crashed on regular occasions on my machine, something I wasn't used to when playing the 1st game (maybe it's my machine)
- Typo in very visible string, at the Gatherer's Gardens : "Unlock an addtional PLASMID SLOT.". Hellooo, QA?

Small stuff, I don't sweat it, and yet, there's a feeling quality wasn't up to the level of the 1st game. Still very highly recommended game.

Time spent: almost 35 hours (versus 50 on the 1st game...).

Now on with Bioshock Infinite (to infinity and beyond!).

I know I'm late to the party (again lol), but where to begin? The story, the idea of a city under the ocean, enhancing capability drugs, the dialogs, the soundtrack, the fact that you find films reels and they're the director's commentaries, the main menu includes a 'Museum', and it's some of the concepts that weren't included in the game, but the studio still made something out of it.

A beautiful and very enjoyable game, highly recommended. Now please excuse me while I jump into Bioshock 2 :)

I don't know if it's my fright sensors/buds that withered after playing DS1, or if the game tension wasn't as high, but I went in there like a fighter, necromorphs, better stay out of my way lol.

I loved the game. Some things are gone (like the map feature for instance, which I missed a lot at first, and then got used to only using the breadcrumbs) and others are new (the "flying" parts, dodging obstacles, or also the windows that can break and you get sucked out in space (I LOVED these parts where either you couldn't shoot or you had to be careful and plan, not go all in). Small things but it adds up to make this a great game IMO.

It was about 20 hours of gameplay for me.

It took me 11 years to overcome the initial fear that overwhelmed me the first time I played this game (I quit after running and getting into the elevator, in the first minute of the game lol), but boy, was the wait worth! I liked the story, I liked the game mechanics (zero gravity), the sound effects, the concepts (HUD, map, breadcrumbs, benches, suits) the weapons, the enemies, the betrayals and the twists.

It then took me about 20 hours to complete the game.

Playing this now for the 1st time. Setup installs EALink, EA Desktop/Client, a Windows service, and requires an EA account, and acceptance of the EA EULA (and linking my EA account to my Steam account gives access to my Steam profile to EA). Gee, I just want to play the game I bought through Steam, not here to marry EA or sign with my blood for a game I purchased. The game is very good and I enjoy that part. I would recommend it if it wasn't for the buyer's experience and everything that EA installs.
I see a remake of the original Dead Space just came out, I'll pass and avoid EA as much as I can from now on.
