Releasing DLC for a game that feels unfinished.

Just found out that they told the playerbase they don't care if they shutdown the game. Fine then. Do it.

I owe a lot to DayZ. I met my best friend over 9 years ago in DayZ mod for Arma II and in that game formed a bond and memories that I will never forget. Since then have poured hundreds of hours into the mod and now game. I have a burning passion for this game that stems from nostalgia and a love for the genre.
The fact of the matter is that this game doesn't have the most bustling community given the development time of roughly one bajillion years and a thousand broken promises. A couple of days ago they announce the first paid DLC for DayZ standalone, a map that (Allegedly) is just a rip from Arma3 DLC and are now forcing the few devoted players and servers they have left to decide whether or not to buy it. This is going to cause all of the good servers (Which are only good because of the community driven mods, fixing this game and adding features that were promised four years ago.) to either switch to the new map and lose half of their playerbase who don't want to pay for this garbage, or not switch to the new map and lose half of their playerbase who decided to pay for the DLC because they have been craving something new for the past six years. I am extremely disappointed that they would spend time making paid DLC when the basic features of this game still aren't up to snuff. Everything from vehicles, to weapons, to bases are lacking and it's honestly just heartbreaking. Hopefully they get themselves together because for some Godforsaken reason, I still have an ounce of misplaced hope.

To start off, I own every Payday 2 dlc. Every. Single. One. I love the game with all my heart, I've probably spent more on the dlc for this game, then I have on actual video games in the past two years. I honestly would say it is one of my favorite games of all time. I shrieked like a girl when I found out about the Hoxton breakout trailer. But adding microtransactions made me so so disappointed. I first was disappointed when they started allowing any old average Joe into the legendary payday gang, but "this" is just disgusting. They should honestly go sit in the corner and think about what they've done. From humble beginnings to EA levels of greed. Congratulations on disappointing one of your biggest fans.
