I didn't get to play many beat 'em ups before, so I was waiting for the perfect one to start with. I am very happy with how this game turned out!

The story on normal difficulty took about 3 hours to beat but I find it highly re-playable: 5 difficulty modes, boss rush, arcade mode, retro levels, unlockable characters, achievements.

One small issue I have is that in multiplayer stage select mode "retry" doesn't bring you to character selection screen, so if you want to re-pick your fighter you need to quit out, losing your online partner.

Controls well on keyboard. Music is great and varied, with a number of memorable bangers. Visuals and animations are perfect. Certain enemies are more challenging than others. Multiplayer is solid for the most part.

8/10 - will keep playing for years to come.

A perfect rogue lite

Mouse controlled camera is awful, like in Nier Automata.
My PS2 gamepad not recognized in game, eventhough in key bindings it is detected.

The first game I've 100%, and what a game it is!
The quintessential rogue-like, hard as rock, based on luck and skill alike.
Has few bugs, glitches and lacks various tear combinations, all of which are remedied in its sequel.
Highly recommended for any fans of the genre.

I've been patiently waiting for this game since it entered Early Access.
And it was truly worthy of the day 1 purchase.

Some negatives included minor save losses due to cloud syncing issues, a couple of crashes.
But the updates are frequent and apparent.

Overall Game of the Year material, very replayable, refreshingly imaginative and highly immersive. Yes

Really good game.

Supports my PS2 controller that I use through a USB adapter.
But for some reason d-pad's up and down buttons are reversed.

Hard at first, but fun nonetheless.
