alright, breakpoint is a very meh sort of game. don't get me wrong, it's REALLY good but definitely not worth the price. granted, i did get this on sale ($10 NZD) so keep that in mind. breakpoint is a wonderful game with an expansive map, a huge variety of weapons, class systems (something wildlands didn't have) and great customisation. but it has a terrible story line. it's very generic to me. a rich tech company is either taken over or goes rogue and starts mass producing terror drones under the guise of 'security'.

even worse, the way the story is told is bonkers, man. terrible cut scenes and god awful conversations. i have in several occasions, gotten into literal gunfights, and i, along with the mission npc proceed to have a nice discussion like i'm a house guest and we're having coffee while conversing. and speaking of the npc's, they're absolutely clueless unlike the wildlands npc's which at least have some form of intelligence. the breakpoint AI is lazy. the only really good AI would be the drones. loads of people throw flak at the addition of drones but it's cool to me. the sound design, the design of the drones overall never fails to intimidate me. even their smaller drones (NOT the sky cherubim) make me shiver my timbers.

continuing on with the AI, the AI teammates are wayyy too OP. they make a huge difference. if i wanted to destroy the entirety of Aurora, i could. all i'd need is a car and ALL squad mates and they would vaporise cars in an instant. if convoys we're more common, i would easily be the richest in breakpoint, because they blow up cars instantly and are way too precise. am i complaining? 100%. because it's not challenging. i could play on the highest difficult setting with a class that gives me the least amount of health and i would still ace this game

now, because i bought this game during the winter sale, i'm not surprised i have to buy the rest of the game. but honestly, based on what i've seem with this game, it just ain't worth it. to me, it's better to run and gun, level up, grind, stream through the class system and get better at the game rather than do the actual mission. however, i heard from a friend (who also bought breakpoint on sale) that even IF you buy the game at full price the rest is still locked under payment which is outrageous.

if you're trying to see if wildlands is better, wildlands is better in some ways. for one, their customisation and lack of micro transactions is refreshing, but the stealth is a hard if you don't know what you're doing. but despite the lack of features compared to breakpoint, wildlands has a great story line. an elite fire team is sent to bolivia which is transitioning from a democratic free state into a terror narco state by the santa blanca cartel, and you're sent in to slowly dismantle the entire cartel by eliminating every key figure.

so finally, breakpoint is only good for people who don't have a problem with a lazy story and just more features, but wildlands is for people who like a good story despite a lack of features

this game is very good and VERY underrated. the money is worth it. and for those of you guys that are wondering, the weapons that you see and the vehicles that you see in videos and aren't in your game, they're mods

9.5/10 cause sometimes the enemy AI ignores you when you walk past them, and they sometimes ignore eachther when 2 enemies walk by eachother
