I was playing this intensely recently to finish the cheevos and would see little dots flying around when I closed my eyes.

Bit slow at first, but gets better when you get into it. No in game purchases or anything, you can just play as is and if you do your dailies you won't need to buy much on the market.

So it's a pleasant enough game to play through, and it feels really nice and responsive for a first-person unity game. And now I'm having some additional fun with finding alternative solutions etc (Don't fix plz devs ;-) ).

I haven't played this enough to give it a fair crack of the whip in terms of the puzzling. But the game just felt totally off, like it was made by someone who's never played a first-person game before. Literally the first thing I want to do in any first-person game is spawn into the first area, swing my mouse around to get a feel for the mouse, and hit escape, options, change mouse sensitivity. I don't want to have to exit to the main menu, do that, then reload. And then again to finetune it.

Then when I'm settled in my WASD/mouse hand-stance, I don't want to be constantly switching to two-hands-on-keyboard-typing-stance for every panel.

Also I didn't like the lack of any launch sound, menu sound, barely any in-game sound . Maybe there's a reason for it and you unlock more sounds or something as the game progresses, but it just made it feel like I was playing some very early alpha demo.

TTP1 is probably my favourite game, and for me it got so many aspects just right. TTP2 is different, and although I've enjoyed the puzzles, I do question some of the design decisions: Having so much dialog, the quest markers, the cartoony sprites etc. It really alienated me to start with. It took me a few hours to really start getting into it once the puzzles got a bit more interesting.

But overall I've enjoyed it. There's a lot of gameplay to be had for a very reasonable price.

I played QUBE (Director's cut) many years ago and it really didn't do it for me, so I was a bit wary, but it was 90% off so thought I'd risk it. And glad I did - I enjoyed this much more. Mainly because it offers much more of a challenge with the collectables etc and much better graphics. Sector 8 is especially good.

I recently replayed this through again for a third time. I remember first time being quite confused and took a while to work out what was going on (I remember unintentionally trying to do dam backwards), but it's a game that gets better as you progress and get a sense of what it's all about, and is ultimately a pleasant and satisfying experience.

Short and sweet but very pleasant. As others have said, Witness-esque, both in the little tile puzzles and in ... other ways.
