Early Access Review
An enjoyable game in the right circumstances, but woefully underpopulated. The gameplay is very user unfriendly and the core playerbase forms a vocal minority which is highly resistant to any suggested QoL changes that they might deem "too casual".

The primary issue is the low level of information given to the player in a game. Players are not informed of any kills they get at any point in the match (not even at the end like say Post Scriptum) and there's limited information as to the progress towards winning or losing a battle. Solo play (ramboing) is punished with a harsher penalty on ticket loss (a system I actually like as I love games where teams need to work together to succeed) however this places a necessity on communication and competent leadership that can be difficult to achieve at the best of times, let alone with a small playerbase.

Long respawn times and a lack of any spectator camera means that every death is a frustration and really takes you out of the moment. One of the greatest parts of the game is a synchronised charge, but being killed early into it kills your hype pretty quickly. Respawning with an unloaded weapon also slows your transition back into playing as you need to stand stationary for around 15 seconds before you rejoin your line, sometimes spawning in the middle of a field and being open to being shot again. I'm a fan of games with hardcore elements to it, but I feel like War of Rights pushes too far in that direction to the detriment of playability and fun.

However I have already alluded to how good this game can be. Coordinated play with a large communicating team with competent commanders can lead to cathartic fun. Local VOIP leads to great opportunities for RP and great fun and immersion therein (although a game like this is a magnet for Alt-Right types so expect a lot of slurs and racist songs being spammed - I wouldn't expect this game to be very welcoming to certain players). Graphics are beautiful and the amount of uniforms, banners and weapons is a delight. Maps authentically replicate the southeastern US and it's a fantastic game if anyone has a hunger for depictions of the period.

I would very much like to see this game succeed and for servers to fill up like in Post Scriptum and Holdfast but the issues of accessibility need to be addressed before that can happen. Nevertheless, I will always have fond memories of playing a full game, putting on a bad southern accent and singing Battlecry of Freedom with tens of other like-minded fellows while musket balls crack the air around me. Fingers crossed for the future of this game.

The maps are beautiful and the enemies are varied and well designed. Crytek has done fantastic work creating a world that revolves around sound, what you can hear and the noise you make plays a huge role in your success in match.

What really stands out is the PvP, tense standoffs that last for tens of minutes or lightning attacks that can see you take out a team in a matter of seconds, every encounter is deadly as the most dangerous enemy in the swamps is your fellow hunter. This game gives a rush like no other and the feeling you get from overcoming another player's team is what keeps you coming back for more.

A return to form for the Hitman franchise. It doesn't quite hit the same highs as Blood Money, but it's so very close. The episodic format was a bit of a turn-off so I ended up buying it after all of them had released so I could go through them all in one go. It would be nice to have a bit more of an interconnecting storyline, and it's a bit annoying to hear the same American and English voice actors in every location around the globe, but gameplay wise I can't fault it. You have all of the ingredients to make a great Hitman right here. Looking forward to the next season!

Thought me and my friend were coordinating really well. Turns out he was just using a guide from the very first puzzle...

Arguably the best Fallout, an in-depth, solid RPG that takes the roots of Interplay's games and adapts them almost perfectly.

It's hard to recommend this game if you've played a Fallout game before. It seems like a step backwards from everything Bethesda has achieved, creating a game that's closer to Brink than it is to Fallout 3. Despite this, gameplay is much improved and the world isn't terrible. The game's downfall is in its complete lack of roleplaying and its sub-par story which puts the bigger plot holes of Fallout 3 to shame. Every quest feels the same and there's no feeling of any substance to the world. I can't think offhand of anything that particularly stood out to me in it, especially in downtown Boston, where every city block is the same as the other. This is a game that added really cool functionality, such as improvements to gunplay and power armor, as well as settlement building (despite its redundancy) but these things were added at the cost of offering any sort of feeling that the game is a fallout game. Remember that feeling the first time you played 3 or New Vegas? That feeling isn't there when you play Fallout 4, and it's not a game I can envision myself getting nostalgic about.

Good, but disappointing, and on the threshold of bad for me.
