Zambezi is the gnarliest beast you'll ever see

went in blind, was not disappointed.

movement is fluid and satisfying, combat is quick and gratifying. the pixel scenery is beautiful. the story... i don't want to spoil it, but it's an excellent story - well worth finishing.

if you enjoy platformers, even a little, play this game.

Not for me. 3 hours in, MAYBE 40 minutes of actual gameplay. and the gameplay that is there consistently has the immersion disrupted by un-mutable music, overly-dramatic cutscenes, and egregious brand placement.

If you're a fan of "show, don't tell" storytelling, stay far away from this game.

The entire DLC is a tedious pain in the ass that adds nothing of value to the story or to the gameplay. Not even a cool weapon or vehicle. The enemies aren't even a challenge, they're just obnoxious. I got this in a humble bundle and I still don't recommend playing it - it's just a waste of your time and a bigger waste of your money. Just play the base game.

This is an exploration game cleverly disguised as a brutal roguelike.

You play as an insatiable greedy hooded alchemist, or Noita. Discover and modify wands that will just as quickly kill you as they will kill your enemies. Gain perks which gift you godlike powers as you shape the world around you.

Your goal? Unclear. Motivations? Unclear. But the answers are out there.

Go find them.

Was great a few years ago, but is now absolutely ruined by kids screaming in every public lobby. Not worth the frustration. This game- and most social VR apps in general- is in desperate need of some kind of age separation.

Until then, not worth trying.
