My Dead by Daylight "Career" – Escaping Reality One Gen at a Time
After 3000+ hours in SWF, I basically had a PhD in gen rushing, flashlight clicking, and arguing over who gets chased. Life was good. Chaos on voice chat, full-map rescue missions, and enough adrenaline to power five Kindred players.

Then came the sweaty days... P100 Blights moonwalking, Nurses blinking through dimensions, and Weskers trying out for The Matrix. I’d seen enough.

So I did what any reasonable survivor would do: I tanked my MMR. On purpose. Welcome to the chill zone.

Now, with 200 hours of Solo Q under my belt, I'm enjoying matches with randoms who teabag nothing, urban evade in circles, and somehow pull off 4-man escapes. Is it scuffed? Yes. Is it beautiful? Absolutely.

Will I return to high-MMR hell someday? Maybe. But right now, I’m thriving in the land of slow gens, confused killers, and immaculate vibes. ;3

Not the Game I Bought Anymore
❌ MMR ruined it
❌ Tunneling and camping are rewarded
❌ Fun is punished, sweating is required
❌ Survivors and Killers both suffer

Dead by Daylight used to feel like a chaotic horror party game. You'd laugh, get scared, flashlight save your friends, and maybe even let the last survivor go just for the memes.

Now? It's a competitive, stressful, unbalanced grind where:

Killers tunnel at 5 gens because it’s the only way to win.

Survivors gen rush with meta perks or get steamrolled.

Every match feels like a tournament with strangers who forgot what fun is.

MMR means casual play is punished — if you don’t sweat, you lose.

Balance is all over the place. Some killers are gods, some are trash. Most maps feel like RNG nightmares. And BHVR keeps designing mechanics that remove player agency and don’t respect your gameplay.

There’s still a great game buried deep under all this, but it’s almost impossible to find anymore — unless you go out of your way to avoid trying to win.

🕹️ I bought a horror party game. I got an anxiety simulator with fake skill rating.

Not recommended unless you enjoy stress, meta builds, and forced sweat in every match.
