How does the difficulty system work?

It's simple in effect. A higher star rating means it's more difficult - It plays faster and obstacles are generally more prominent. The game works out the rating based on the average bpm of the song. The below post explains it in a little more detail:

So generally the sweetspot we're looking for is 160-200 average bpm...but the game's really dodgy with how it actually calculates it, so in the end it's more like a general guideline than it is a strict ruleset.

Quick notes before the list

All songs listed in ARTIST - SONG format.
() or [] brackets and anything contained in them should be included in the tags, {} brackets and anything contained in them should NOT be in the tags, I'll use those to denote which version of a song I'm talking about if there's multiple versions.
I suggest tagging them exactly as they're listed, since I assume a difference in capitalization/punctuation and such would lead to a different track being generated, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that. If you don't know how to tag songs, this guide by Pinsplash has the basics.
If you know of any that aren't on this list, please leave them in the comments - please, in the same format as already stated, and with their star rating, it's easier to read that way, I won't add them if they aren't listed with their rating, and I won't add them if you don't comment them as they're tagged.

I used to host the list directly on the guide, but I reached the character/word limit on Steam guides, so I've moved the list itself out of this article to a pastebin file, which you can find by following the hyperlink![pastebin.com]

The list has had a massive +451 update recently too, so if you haven't checked it in a while, I recommend going through the entire list again and checking out the new tracks that've been added!
