Anyway, the new Pyro items have been highly talked about and debated ever since its release earlier today. To teach new users on how to efficiently utilise these items, I did a quick breakdown and came up with a simple analysis and evaluation of how these items work, and their respective uses and their advantages/disadvantages.

Dragon's Fury is an ideal weapon for W+M1 pyros, and it can seriously ramp and stack up damage over time. Good for beginners, but if you're more comfortable with the degreaser + flare gun + axtinguisher combo, do not use the new flame thrower. It's downsides of low reload speed and damage at the start are too significant to be negligible if you do not have enough time to survive and chalk up the damage.

The Thermal Thruster is a really strategic item to use, giving you the option of surprising enemies frm above. However, it comes at a cost of a filled secondary slot, limiting your damage from thr air to only short-ranged alternatives (since all flame throwers are short-ranged). Only recommended for use if you have enough health to sustain your surprise attack, otherwise it is not worth your death. It is also situational to utilise the fall damage, for the fly duration is short and you have to be very accurate to maximise damage output. This item has the huge potential to see an overhaul in the current meta.

The Gas Passer is a huge mechanic that functions as an area denial that discourages enemies from coming closer. However, it's effectiveness is only significant if enemies run into it. As such, it is more viable to place them around corners or crucial narrow walkways that enemies have to pass. This item has the huge potential to see an overhaul in the current meta.

The Hot Hand is not really that helpful in my opinion, it's only useful when you want to finish off an enemy with low health who will not kill you fast enough. Other than that, other melee options are less situational and more reliable.
