Story Achievements
These achievements are unlocked naturally through playing through the main story as Freudia.

  • Into the Snowy Night: Complete the Prologue stage.
  • Boss Beatdown: Defeat the 8 numbered members of Rosenkreuzstilette.
  • Fall of the Black Cross: Defeat every member of Schwarzkreuz.
  • The Stinger of Joy: Finish the game as Freudia Neuwahl.

If you skipped the prologue, simply go back and play it. It's the easiest stage in the game and there's no trick to the boss like there was in RKS1's prologue stage.
Stage Clear...?
Get kicked back to the Stage Select Screen by Schwer-Muta.

This one is very easy, and you will likely get it simply by progressing through the story. On Schwer-Muta's stage, either go right from the start and touch the flagpole, or go left and go down the pipe. If you're curious how to actually progress through the stage, jump down the pit.
Another Forest Relic?
Add the upbeat Strudel to your arsenal.

On Liebea's stage, after the checkpoint, you'll come to a large screen with two-way scrolling. On the way down the hill, you'll see a very deep pit of snow. Sink down into it, go left, and grab the item.

This can only be done as Freudia; Pamela finds a Cross Tank here.
Ready!
Max out your supply of Cross Tanks.

As with RKS1, I wouldn't recommend specifically going out of your way for this one. If you get stuck as Pamela, you may want to grind up to 9 cross tanks just to get through a hard stage. I happened to accrue this many Cross Tanks naturally on my second playthrough while going for Mega Master, and I was not shy about using them when I needed to.

If you do decide to just grind this one out, I suggest going for "Double K.O." afterwards... see below.

The fastest way to get this achievement is on Iris 4 as Pamela. Put in the password for Iris 4, then grab the two Cross Tanks and the Evil Spiritia 1-Up on the first screen (see the "Tia's 7-Up! and Headhunter" section for help finding these items.) Go to the final boss and suicide. Repeat until full.

If you want to grind Cross Tanks for the sake of getting the Double K.O. achievement, use Schwer-Muta's stage instead. As you drop down the pit at the beginning, hold left and grab the Cross Tank there.

Then, later in the stage, on the room with three Death Tanks, slide through the wall to the right.

In that room, there's a floor that will rise up and crush you against the ceiling, and it'll trigger as soon as you step on it. The first block in the room is safe to stand on.

To get as far as you can without triggering the floor, jump as far as you can to the right.

As soon as you land, slide.

Intentionally die, and then after respawning use the flagpole or stage select warp pipe to leave Schwer-Muta's stage, and come back. This is faster than intentionally suiciding your way to a game over every time.
It's Not Over Yet!
Defeat a boss with only one point of Vitality left.

Like in RKS1, I got this by chance. It's not terribly unlikely to happen.

If you want a controlled way of getting this, The Metal Hero's attacks in her first phase all do either 3 or 6 damage. You start with 28 health, so 27 damage (which is divisible by 3...) is what you need to take. Just make sure that if you're down to 4 health, you let her hit you with one of the 3-damage attacks (such as an uncharged Lustatem) and not a 6-damage attack. Let her hit you to bring down your health to 1, then stunlock her to death using Eisschwert. The password provided below for Miss Perfect will take you to The Metal Hero's stage with all of the other seven bosses defeated, so you can take her on with Eisschwert and anything else you might want.

(The achievement name is giving me flashbacks to Mega Man X4's terrible voice acting...)
Tia's 7-Up! and Headhunter
  • Tia's 7-Up!: Find Freudia's lucky charm.
  • Headhunter!: Max out your reserve of Extra Lives.

Go to Iris 4 as Freudia. You can use this password to go directly there:

Use Strudels Hund on the uppermost platform to bounce up and to the left. You'll land on an invisible platform with a ladder.

Climb it, and at the top, use Studels Flügel to fly to the right and grab an invisible ladder there.

At the top is a 1-up in the shape of Spiritia's head, like from RKS1; grab it to claim the "Tia's 7-Up!" achievement as well as 7 extra lives.

Make sure you have at least 2 lives before doing this, and you'll also claim "Headhunter." If you don't have them, simply suicide on the final boss until you get a game over, and then grab it. Man, that sure was a lot easier than RKS1's Cat Instinct!

This does not work as Pamela; Pamela finds a different item at this location, an Evil Spiritia 1-Up which causes her to lose lives. I do not believe it unlocks Tia's 7-Up, and it certainly doesn't help you unlock Headhunter. However, this item is actually useful if you want to grind Cross Tanks in Iris 4, as it lets you get Game Overs faster.
Miss Perfect
Complete a stage without taking any damage.

The easiest stage to do this on, in my opinion, is The Metal Hero's stage. Use the provided password, and you'll have every other stage completed, giving you maximum preparation for this task.

Play through the stage at least once for practice so you know what's coming before making a serious attempt.

Here's a video of me doing this:

Points to watch out for, and how to deal with them:
At the start, watch out for the enemies that jump up out of the holes. They only pop out of the wider ones. Hold the fire button on Freudenstachel as you approach, and then jump over as soon as it pops out and rams headfirst into your attack; it isn't long at all before the next one comes out.

On the screen with the Evil Rush Jets, there's a few ways to deal with them. If you can safely go over or under them, do it. You can safely stand on them, so if you are trying to jump over, remember that you only need to clear the front, not the entire enemy. Kopiekriesel destroys these enemies in one hit, as well.

On the screen with the large blue birds resembling Beat, you can use Eisschwert to freeze the enemy birds, the bombs they drop, and the bullets that pop out, making a safe traversal of this screen easy. One little annoyance to watch out for is that the blue birds will damage you if you touch them from the sides.

The screen with the small skull sliding on the ground is very difficult to traverse without taking damage under normal circumstances. However, Strudel and Freudenzwinger are both capable of killing this resilient foe, making it easy to go through without taking damage.

On The Metal Hero, come into the room with Eisschwert charged. Release it as soon as the fight starts to freeze The Metal Hero. Then, stunlock her with regular Eisschwert attacks until she dies.
Double K.O.!
Run out of time while facing Zorne Zeppelin.

Attack Zorne until she goes critical, and then wait for the screen to fill with blocks, killing you both.

As with RKS1, this is much harder than simply killing her! Worse, you don't have Silberflügel Eins to help you avoid her, and the mobility items in RKSF are much less useful than Eins for this task. Also, her bombs reach all the way up to the ceiling, making it much harder to simply camp up there as Pamela the way Grolla could in RKS1. The amount of time you need to wait seems to be much less, though.

I accomplished this by simply coming in with a bunch of Cross Tanks. I dodged her as best as I could, but I soaked up damage like a sponge, and used a lot of Cross Tanks. I think I ended up using like 3; if you come in with 5 you should be fine. Bring 9 if you're paranoid (or if you just did the achievement for that.) Just make sure you use them; you don't want to use a bunch of Cross Tanks and then die because you didn't play it safe.

If you like, you may use the provided password, which defeats all bosses except Zorne and Schwer-Muta (for farming Cross Tanks.) After you've got the Cross Tanks, though, you'll want to beat Schwer-Muta for her weapon, as it's Zorne's weakness.

The White Silver Cavalier
Beat the game as Pamela Arwig.

To play as Pamela, press Up, Down, Next Weapon, Previous Weapon on the very first screen you see after launching the game. If you miss this screen, you can press Escape at any time to return to it.

As with RKS1, I assume you can simply put in a password to skip most of the game. In fact, you don't even need to play Iris 1-3, since there's a password for Iris 4. You're a chump if you do this but it (probably) works.

One thing to note is that Pamela cannot swim. This may take you by surprise in Trauare's Stage. Some water segments (such as in Iris 2) are modified to be possible for Pamela, and in others Pamela is expected to get by with just her dash and wall climbing abilities.

Similar to Grolla in RKS1, this is significantly harder than the main game because the game is not designed around the alternate character, and she does not get boss weapons. This means she cannot exploit boss weaknesses, making them significantly harder.

Fortunately, Pamela does not have to deal with anything as ridiculous as Grolla Mode's Cross Wall. For the most part, if you just want to beat the game, grinding for and then chugging Cross Tanks is a viable strategy. For the first eight stages, leave Schwer-Muta for last as her stage offers the fastest Cross Tank farming. For the next four, Refraktia's Stage offers the fastest Cross Tank grinding so leave them for last. Every Iris Stage is kind enough to give a Cross Tank (or two, in the case of Iris 4!) at or near the start for easy grinding.

Prepare to chug a lot of Cross Tanks, though. If you decide to just spam Cross Tanks to get through the Shadow Devil, it's not unreasonable to expect you'll use 5 or more. And dying after using a Cross Tank is wasteful, so make sure this does not happen to you.

There is one problem, though. If you decide to spam Cross Tanks to get through Iris 3 without learning any boss patterns, you are very likely to actually run out. Hey, you have to fight 10 bosses back to back without their weaknesses. You can't really avoid spending at least a little time learning boss patterns here. Out of all the bosses in this stage, though, I find that Iris Machine II is actually one of the easiest to learn. Both phases are extremely predictable and easy to avoid. You should also not have much trouble with The Metal Hero and Liebea.
Mega Master
Finish the game as Freudia in 60 minutes or less.

How to get this achievement:

Get good.

Ok, here's a video of me doing it:

Top speedruns of this game last little more than a half hour, so you can perform significantly worse and still claim this achievement. The biggest thing to worry about is deaths and game overs, which will obviously waste a great deal of your time.

Kopiekriesel destroys every miniboss in seconds. Just be careful not to fall into the spikes when using it on the Moonlight Butterfly in Eifer's stage.

As with RKS1, play on Arcade Mode and choose Stage Select, not Prologue. Although Arcade Mode cuts all dialogue, it still shows all cutscenes without dialogue, Sonic 3 & Knuckles style: press start to skip these (this was not possible in RKS1.) Again, I don't know if these things count against you, but there's no reason to take a chance. You do have to start from the beginning; using the Iris 4 password won't cut it here.

The current top speedrun actually goes in weakness order starting with the easiest stage and boss, The Metal Hero! So you don't need to learn any special routes or fight any bosses without their weakness (except The Metal Hero.) So for reference, that's The Metal Hero -> Trauare -> Schwer-Muta -> Zorne -> Doris -> Liebea -> Sichte -> Grolla.

Miscellaneous hints

If you watch the top speedruns, you'll see a skip in Trauare's stage that saves about 10 seconds. You don't really need to learn it, but if you're curious, this video does a good job explaining it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abFFdqp5CBw

Use Strudels Hund and Strudels Flügel shamelessly, at least for the first twelve stages, where you regain all of your weapon energy after each stage. Starting with The Metal Hero gets you Strudels Flügel right away.

Speedruns do not get the secret in Liebea's stage that lets you use Strudel; it has no use that pays for the time it takes to get it.

Schirach can be a run-killer if you run out of Freudenzwinger; killing her without it is difficult and time consuming. Chug Cross Tanks shamelessly to ensure you do not die and have to take her on without Freudenzwinger. You can also run out of Freudenzwinger if you get hit, because that cancels the attack. Be careful with Schirach, and maybe take some time to practice beating her before attempting a speedrun.

A hint for Recht and Link I don't have anywhere better to put
As you probably know, you want to attack Recht; if you attack Link, you will heal them. Recht is the one with the eyepatch. However, it is quite hard to see the eyepatch even when they are standing still, as Recht's hair covers it pretty much entirely. One way to tell the two apart is that Link is the one with a visible eye and Recht is the one whose hair covers her eyes. However, even this is hard to make out when they are moving quickly.

Of course, the other visual difference between the two is that Link has a ponytail coming off the left side of her head and Recht has hers on the right... but that's only true when they're facing left! If they face right, the game cheaply flips their sprites, putting their hair on the opposite side. Not only that, but since they are facing roughly towards the screen, their left and right are your right and left. Figuring out in the heat of the moment something along the lines of "ok, her hair is on my left, which is her right, but she's facing right so her sprite is flipped, so when her sprite is facing left it would be on her left, so that's Link, so I need to attack the other one" is nearly impossible.

So what to do? For me, the easiest way to tell the two apart is that Recht has her ponytail in front of her face, no matter which direction she is facing, and Link has hers behind. So always attack the one with the ponytail in front of her face.
Devil Hunter Mark-2
Defeat the Darkside Devil without taking any damage.

The Darkside Devil is the boss of Iris 2. Use the provided password to go to Iris 2.

You will have to memorize the boss's pattern and practice it until you can defeat it. There's no way to game this achievement or get it without actually earning it.

If you get hit, continue fighting the boss in order to practice. Just make sure you don't kill the boss, or you'll have to replay Iris 2.

The boss is weak against Eislanze. If you time it well, you can hit him with Eislanze three times every time he opens his eye. This is difficult, but probably easier than surviving another round or two without getting hit.

At the very beginning of the fight, he'll have his eye open but close it quickly; you can hit it once if you charge Eislanze beforehand and release it as soon as thes fight starts. Use uncharged Eislanze for the rest of the fight, though, as it doesn't do any more damage charged.

If you hit him at the start, and then three times per round thereafter, you can kill him in three rounds, and therefore only have to dodge his attack round twice.
From Zero to Hero
Beat the game as Pamela Arwig in under 60 minutes.

I have no advice on this. This one will be difficult and require practice. Good luck. I'll update the guide later if I have anything more useful to say here.

Nice guide!
The prologue stage works for Miss Perfect, and is fairly easy to do with no damage too.

Thank you T1tan, I have updated my guide.

Sorry for the slow reply; I let this guide fall down my todo list for a while. I'm gonna finish this guide soon (add details about how to beat the game as Pamela, and add the passwords for Iris 2 and Iris 4.) I held off on playing this game on story mode or as Pamela until they made the dialogue legible, and then once they did that I got distracted by other games for a while.

Devil Hunter now works

Thanks, I'll take out the part where I mention that I don't know if it's possible.

Going to add in here that the Trau current skip is indeed possible on the Steam release of the game. I've managed to do it successfully thanks to the video you linked in the guide. It's a very easy and consistent setup once you practice it a couple of times.
Wild Matsu  [author] 21 Oct, 2017 @ 8:35pm
Good point, I'll make a note of that.

The achievement Devil Hunter Mark-2 doesn't work until the developers fix it.
