What the upgrade does and why its a downgrade

The Portal Upgrade is needed for an achievement (as u can see in the comments), down below you see why I am not a fan of it, so buy it as late as possible I guess :>

I used Portals because they made the dummy move a very long time (with this almost infinite falling thingy)

However the upgrade adds portal cubes (5 of them) that act like grenades and that hit the dummy every now and again.
This obstructs the dummies movement and adds side movement, which in about 30% to 50% of the time causes the dummy to leave the "falling stream" one wishes for.

Basically I never use portals since I upgraded them, do not make the same mistake!

the best solution to this is to use saws lining the sides. it makes the stream foolproof regardless of if you dont or do have the upgrade. hope this comment helps those of you that need help with this problem if you have already done it.
