Locating and Editing the Config File

Navigate to the directory where your copy of Steam and your Steam games are installed to. E.G. Mine's D:/Program Files(x86)/Steam

Once inside the directory find your common games directory, this is in: steamapps/common

Now navigate to the Tony Hawk's EngineConfig file

\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD\Engine\Config

Open the file: BaseEngine.ini

Locate the lines that say ResX and ResY, changing these values changes the ingame resolution. Using 1080 and 1920 will give you full HD ingame.

Or you could just go into the Options -> Video and change it to 1920 x 1080 yourself

I was able to just change it in game? is that not running at 1440p for me? I was surprised how well its running, I just got a key today.

for framerate issue
Go into X:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD\Engine\Config and right-click on the "BaseEngine.ini" file and choose 'edit'.

Scroll down and find the "bsmoothFrameRate" option and check the 3 lines are as follows;
bSmoothFrameRate=TRUE
MinSmoothedFrameRate=22
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=62

Scroll down further and you'll find another "bsmoothFrameRate" option; this one will be set to "=FALSE" - change it to the 3 lines below;
bSmoothFrameRate=TRUE
MinSmoothedFrameRate=22
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=120

You shouldn't make changes to the files in the install location folder. You should make these changes to the file "THHDEngine.ini" in the "Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD\THHDGame\Config" folder which is in the "My Games" folder of "My Documents". The install location file is a backup in case of critical error.

I did everything and it runs in 1080 10FPS. I have plenty of video ram to run this title effortlessly, is there any alternative options for bring up my FPS? It's not playable. nvidia 740m 2 gig VRAM and intel I5 (4th generation)
