Proteus has a rich fauna and flora, here are some animals I discovered and watched. Throw me some more if you want to. [This part of the guide is not fully developed yet]

Spring, Summer
Chickens are known to exist in 2 colours. Pink and Purple. They are only seen in flocks, ranging from 8-9 chickens in one group. They peck on the ground, by rapidly lowering their head to the ground. Pecking leaves a tinkering note. From time to time they spread their beak and let out a sound.
If the observer gets too close to a flock of chickens, they start running away, leaving behind a sound similar to the pecking, but multiplied. When running away they turn their head away from the observer.
Chicken flocks are commonly found randomly around the island. Never on the beach or in the water.

Spring, Summer
There are 4 types of frogs, which can be categorized by color range, jump pattern and sound. When the observer gets close to a frog in it will start to jump away, with an associated sound. Every frog has a unique jumping pattern, that is repeated in cycles.

Blue-Green: High pitched sound. Jump pattern of 2 little jumps, 2 little jumps, 3 medium jumps, 1 large jump.
Red-brown: Low pitched sound. Jump pattern of 4 little jumps, 3 little jumps, 3 little jumps, 1 little jump chaining into 1 large jump.
Pink-purple: Mid pitched sound. Jump pattern of 3 little jumps, 3 little jumps, 2 little jumps chaining into 1 large jump. Their sound becomes higher and higher as the cycle progresses.
White: Jumps in 1 extra large jump with no other pattern. The white frog is more recognizable for its larger body, and for a a cloud of white sparks, which follow it everywhere.

Summer
Crabs are orange in color. They are always found at the sandy part of the beach.
They have 6 legs that go up and down in a pattern. Time to time the crab pops up, every crab in the group does the popping up. At night they are trying to dig into the ground to sleep.

Spring, Summer, Autumn (Nighttime only)
The Owl shows up after the moon comes out. It looks at you and you can see it flapping its wings as it flies from tree to tree.

Summer
You can spot swarms of bees flying around in place in the time of summer.
If the observer walks into them, the bees are angered and chase as they run rapidly.

Summer, Autumn
These insects are flying in one place, if you get close enough you can hear flapping noise. The dragonflies are not interactive.
In autumn the dragonflies can be seen dying at same places they were flying before. When dying you can hear a cracking sound as they are doing a little spring upwards.

Summer
Comes in 3 known colors, Pink, Brown and the Albino (white).
Most of them can be spotted around the landmark known as the Big Tree, it is one big tree surrounded by 4 trees usually bigger than the common ones. They can be seen going up and down the tree, if you get to close they will run up the nearest tree.

Spring, Summer, Autumn
These two whispy floating entities can be seen circling around each other, flying in the air, near the ground and high up in the sky. They never waver from their path or leave each other.

Autumn
The Birdman can be found by going to the circle of animal statues on an autumn night. After a strange event finishes where the sky goes red, and lights fly around, the Birdman will appear and run away from you to the large tree. If followed, the Birdman will occasionally look back over its shoulder at you and then continue. When the Birdman reaches the big tree it will flap its wings and fly away, initiating the Ghost Wolf event.

Autumn
The Ghost Wolf is found by finding and following the Birdman to the large tree. After the Birdman disappears, the contrast and lighting will change drastically, and the Ghost Wolf will peak around the trees, shake itself, and make a noise before disappearing behind the tree. This activity will continue at random smaller trees around the big one until the observer leaves.

Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter
Tree comes in various colours and shapes. Its a really common plant on the island and also it's the biggest one you encounter.
Trees also hold some fauna. You can find squirrels and owls on the trees.
Through the seasons, trees change. There are white, pink and green trees in spring. In summer nearly all turn green. In autumn they have a red/orange tone. And in winter some lose their leaves, other still have them.
There is always a big tree with 4 more surrounding it on the island. This tree hosts a lot of squirrels.
