This is a guide on Onslaught mode, which seems to be confusing to many players as to what they should actually do in order to succeed in it. It lists the general practces which will help you survive.

Mode basics
The core concept of Onslaught is survivaing 10 progressively harder waves of enemies, collectng the badges they sometimes drop, and hacking the nodes along the way.

This guide mainly covers mode from easy to hard, as in Hardcore there is a limit of maximum 300 CP points a player can get, which means that most depot items are unavailable.

General tips:
  • Stick together, going alone somewhere is suicidal in later waves. If you need ammo refill, ideally someone else should come with you, or even go to depot as a whole team.
  • Do not under any circumstances pick weapons left by the enemies! I can't stress this enough, it is a very common mistake. If you pick up any primary weapon, you lose your LMG and won't be able to get it back later, which means it is game over for you, and possibly for your whole team. Even in critical situation it is better to run to the depo for ammo refill than to lose your LMG.
  • When you see that the node needs to be hacked, unless someone has a Cloak, all team should rush there and cover the person hacking the node. If the node isn't hacked in 90 seconds, the match ends with a loss.
  • Use an LMG as your weapon - it is the weapon with the highest damage output as well as high ammo count, capable of dispatching whole groups of enemies much quicker than other primary weapons.
  • Always aim for headshots, preferaby crouch, this will help to save ammo as well as kill enemies quicker. Only use hipfire when youare geting swarmed and need to kite/get away from enemies.
  • Do not use katanas past wave 4 (unless you are on a farming server, more on that later). Going melee will put you in increasing chance of getting swarmed, or just getting a few shotgun shells / assault rifle burstts and dying in seconds.
  • Always use HRV to find the active depot. There are many depots scattered around the map, but only 1 is active at a time. Unless there is a node which needs to be hacked, it is beneficial to fight close to the depot so that you can refill your ammo quicker.
  • If you have a Healing Injector, heal your teammates as much as you can. It is almost always more beneficial to heal your teammate and prevent him from dying, than both of you shooting the enemes and letting a teammate die in the process. Also, try not to heal yourself, unless you are in a near-death situation, as this will deplete all of your healing injector charges, while only healing you for mere 50hp.
  • Quickly revive fallen teammates, or cover/heal the person who is reviving. Fallen agents die after 30 seconds, and then can only be brought back after clearing the current wave.
  • Always check your surroundings, and try to stay sway from effective range of flamethrower/shotgun/assault rifle wielding enemies. They, and rocket launcher wielders, should be prioritised over other enemies and killed on sight, preferably from long range if possible. The only exception is rocket launcher wielders, you can get close to them, zigzagging to avoid rockets in the process, so that they won't be able to shoot you at close range.
Rewards
When you kill an enemy, it has a chance to drop one of 3 kinds of badges - bronze, silver or gold, which in turn will get you various kinds of reward tokens at the end of the match. You should collect these right away, because they will disappear after some time.

It does not matter who collects them, since all team members will receivve equal rewards, so if you see someone rushing to the badge, don't try get it yourself.

You can keep track on how many badges you got at the bottom middle part of the screen, just above the match progress bar.

Badge -> Token conversion rates:
20 bronze badges -> 2000 XP token
10 silver badges -> 100 GP token
3 gold badges -> 500 GP token

There is no limit on how many tokens you can get per match, so if you have, for example, 9 gold badges, this will get you three 500GP tokens. The tokens go in your inventory, so you have to manually activate them to receive GP or XP.

Badges are persistant through rounds, so any unused badges are transferred to the next round.
Gear and weapon requirements
The format of Onslaught mode dictates a certain requirements, which will help you to survive.
Not comforming to them will have a negative impact on your game, sometimes severely decreasing your chances of victory.

Primary weapon
LMG with quick reload magazine. Other parts may vary, going either for max damage, accuracy or lower recoil, but quick reload mag is a must.
LMG-R - might be viable, need more input from its users

Secondary weapon
Shotgun with drum magazine, if drum mag is not yet available, use extended.
Ideally you shouln't ever use a secondary, but when you do run out of ammo, you want a weapon with high stopping power as well as ammo count, so all pistols are pretty much excluded.

Regular gear
  • Shurikens - extremely good for stopping bosses
  • Protection gear - melee, incendiary, explosive. Helps your survivability.
  • Some kind of melee weapon, such as a crowbar, knife or machete - for desperate situations.
  • Stun mines - can be used to stop bosses
Not recommended:
- Proxy mines - you can be killed by your own mine if you forget that you placed it
- Grenades - situationally useful, but again you can kill yourself with improper use, and the slot would be better spent on a protection item
- Tomahawk - only 1 use

Tactical gear
The choice of tactical gear depends on what your teammates have, but when in doubt, take a healing injector. At least 2 healing injectors must be present, ideally you should have 3 of them.
Best tactical gear compositions for a team:
  • 3 Healing Injectors, 1 Cloak. Best setup. Cloak will allow just 1 person to hack the node, as well as revive without interference from enemies.
  • 3 Healing Injectors, 1 Revival Injector. Revival injector will help with, well, revival, but the team will need to cover the person who is hacking the node.
  • 3 or 4 Healing injectors - slihtly worse than previous variants, but better than everythin else
  • 2 Healing injectors - a bad setup, since only 2 people can heal, which in some cases in not enough, especially on later waves.
  • One or no healing injectors - unless you have a good team where everyone played Onslaught a lot and knows exactly what to do, you will most likely loose.
Depot items
  • Ammo refill - if you don't have it, you are pretty much doomed.
  • Trident minigun - a must, since it outdamages even your LMG. Try to conserve it as much as possible though, and only use to kill bosses, dangerous packs of ranged enemies, or when running out of ammo on LMG.
  • Heavy ammo refill - 250CP for recharging a Trident or Ghst, instead of re-buying them for full price.
  • Ghost Railgun - better for harder difficulties. Unlike a Trident, it does not have a wind-up time, which is better for desperate situations when you need to run away and shoot enems while doing so. It can kill dangerous enemies with one shot, and has the piercing ability, so if you line up many enemies by running away from them, you can kill most of them with one correctly aimed shot.
  • Brimsone - useful for nuking large groups of enemies, if your teammates can keep them in one place. It can still kill you if you run under it yourself. Keep in mind that you leave Trident behind, so only 1 peson in a group should take it.
  • Katana - can be useful, you can use dash to get away from enemies, but using Katana against shotgun, flamethrower or assault rifle wielding enemies will get you killed in no time. Not recommended for new players.
Items you should not use:
  • Hardsuit - it gets destroyed pretty much in seconds by flamethrowers/stingers. You also die if that happens.
  • Turrets - not worth a waste of CP, which is better spent on Trident.

All i remember is that Onslaught was the final draw when it was removed from the game
After Siege was taken out and the constant ban by players for using a hardsuit I uninstalled the game.
The game was full of reee players, cheaters and depot campers.

Optimal team (in my opinion) is something around the lines of:

2x Cloak
1x Heal Injector
1x Tactical Shield Mk 1

But if you have guys that are good enough with Hardsuits, may as well throw:

1x Cloak
1x Heal Injector
1x Tactical Shield Mk 1
1x Repair Kit

Always go for headshots. They give almost double the CP.

And damn! This is so old!
Is the game dead already or what?

Hardsuits are insanely good. Flamers can kill the pilot inside and Stingers can destroy them, but if you can take these fast enough (or just avoid them), it's easy to clean whole groups of enemies in seconds. Even Hulks don't prove much of a threat to either Hardsuits. The light Hardsuit is usually better because it costs less and has a better primary weapon with quite a lot of rounds, but no secondary, while the heavy one has a powerful secondary and a decent primary, but not many rounds of the primary weapon and a slow rate of fire for the secondary.

Tactical Shield is good to block paths. Even Hulks can't ignore them. Blocking paths is essential to proper crowd control, but bear in mind that the person carrying the shield will not have any other Tactical Gear functionality, so whoever they are, better be experienced players. Since you are already going at it, may as well throw a Repair Kit to keep everything working. Oh it can also be used as Melee is needed.

No Heal Injector is OK. In fact, if you don't know how Onslaught works, Heal Injector is bad as it provides no protection and requires some time to recharge. Also, while you are healing, you can't do something else, which also means that you can't heal in the heat of battle either. Use Cloak as a beginner, as it allows for a lot of protection and also to hack with ease. Only teams with experienced players should try Heal Injector setups, and even more so for Revival Injectors.

LMG is currently the only viable gun for os don't listen to this guy who spent months working for his op sniper just to get told that it's not viable for farming. The recon LMG is actually better because of lower rate of fire and better spread (better as in less), thus less wasted bullets, plus it has a quick mag built in.
With a good team setup you can actually use a hardsuit. The hardsuit user must have a hs battle mode. Turrets are really not a good idea. Also they removed the badge to token conversion. Also there's only medium difficulty left, but unless you go in a normal match with 50/0, OS will still give you more GP.

Personally the TacSMG is really OP, high rate of fire 3-4 shot kill on the earlier waves, and flamethrower for my secondary, it just melts :bears:
