@Eluem

Ok thx for responding i can clearly see your point now :)!

Allthough in general i wouldnt put parrying on the Cancer List since its a very viable tactic against all those R1 spammers using for instance the Dark Sword or Farron GS, and the 1 hit Hornet Ring
mechanic is a must have for Estus chugging gankers, i can clearly see how a parry and a one hit can make a duel uninteresting.

But if you have 2 opponents with matching "skill" who constantly evade eachothers hits then that would be as interesting as watching paint dry.

Best regards
pudditza

P.S. i would have answered sooner if i hadn`t forgotten about my post lol

Honestly, just don't parry bait, and you're good by me. While the weapons here are good, they're far from overpowered. Parrying is fine, but spamming L2 with a dagger in your right hand just makes entire exchanges uninteresting and drab.

Cont.

I personally simply don't like any 1 hit kill mechanics in games in general.... unless the mechanic requires a ton of setup and is more of a zoning/control mechanic (i.e. placing some kind of trap that takes a few seconds to arm and then makes that area inaccessible for a few seconds without guaranteeing death... or something to that effect)

@pudditza and @Spooky Grill Parrying is either reactive or predictive, depending on your connection to the opponent and the weapon they're using.

Slower but parryable attacks/weapons like the Charge weapon art or normal great swords in general can be parried reactively.

Most faster weapons such as katanas, straight swords, and daggers typically need to be parried predictively.

While I will agree that reactive parrying takes skill... when it's properly applied and abused, it can trivially dismantle the viability of many weapons and weapon arts by allowing the player to respond to any useage of these with an instant 1 hit kill.

Predictive parrying has an interesting mind game to it, for sure.... however the problem is with how much damage it causes. It can turn an interesting well played fight into a 1 mistake/lucky guess/good prediction fight ender. Something that would have been an interesting fight now simply ends in one... honestly unintersting exchange.

@Eluem How is Parrying and the Hornet Ring on the cancer list?
Tears of Denial i can understand, but i can`t understand why something that takes Skill and time to learn is on the cancer list. Can you please explain that to me?
Eluem 2 Jun, 2018 @ 8:50pm
@Dude, The Sun Bro

While that can be annoying... if they're using iron flesh with that, you can beat them by using anything with more range than the Estoc.

Tears of Denial, Parrying, and Hornet ring are all on the cancer list though :P
