The Soul Trap Exploit (AKA The Biggest Exploit in the Game)
The Soul Trap Exploit

This is perhaps the most useful exploit in the game. It allows you to make spells that last forever. This is accomplished by making a spell with a one second effect along with "Soul Trap for 1 Sec on Target."

The possibilities of this combination are practically infinite. You can permanently fortify skills, attributes, and so on. You can summon a minion permanently. You can fortify your Mercantile to the point where everything costs 1 gold. You can create a spell that restores your health every second. The best part of these spells is that they are low in cost.

The basic formula for a constant spell is:

"*insert spell* *insert magnitude* for 1 second" + "Soultrap 1 sec on Target"

After you have made your spell, equip it and cast it at the ground. You must cast the spell at the ground or it will not work. If you don't cast it at the ground your game might also crash.

The Fastest way to begin using this exploit is to travel to Balmora and deliver the package to Cosades. He'll give you 200 gold. Take that gold with you to the South Wall Cornerclub. It's the club near Cosade's house. Find Only-He-Stands-There, the argonian, in the Cornerclub and buy Feet of Notorgo from him. It's a fortify speed spell. After that, travel to the Balmora Guild of Mages. Talk to Masalinie Merian. She's a Breton. Buy the Soultrap spell from her. Finally, talk to Estirdalin in the Balmora Mage's Guild. She's a high elf. Select "spellmaking" while talking to her. Make a spell with the following effects "Fortify Intelligence 20 pts on Self" and "Soultrap 1 sec on Target." Look at the image below for help.

This spell will raise your intelligence by 20 pts every time you cast it.

Now that you have the basic idea of how these spells are made, you can try out other combinations such as the one below. Just use the formula above in conjunction with these effects to get the results listed.

Infinite Shield
Effect: Shield 20 pts on self 1 sec
Result: Adds 20 pts to your overall armor rating each time it is cast.

Summon Dremora
Effect: Summon Dremora 1 sec
Result: Summons a Dremora that is permanently bound to you. It won't dissapear. You can kill him and farm him for weapons.

Summon Golden Saint
Effect: Summon Golden Saint 1 sec
Result: Summons a Golden Saint. This can be useful for farming Grand Souls and weapon drops.

Fortify Magicka
Effect: Fortify Magicka 60 pts 1 sec on self
Result: This will add 60 Magicka to you. This is a good exploit for infinite magicka. Just keep casting the spell and you'll get +60 magicka every time.

Super Strength
Effect: Fortify Strength 15 pts 1 sec on self
Result: This will raise your strength by 15 every time. Be careful! I don't recommend raising it above 250 as weapons will break fast after that point.

Super Stamina
Effect: Fortify Endurance 30 pts 1 sec on self
Result: Raises your endurance by 30 pts. This will also raise your fatigue. This stat can be raised as much as you want.

Lucky Ducky
Effect: Fortify Luck 20 pts 1 sec on self
Result: Raises your luck by 20 pts. This can be used as much as you want. It makes spells easier to cast, items easier to enchant, enemies easier to hit, etc. I recommend raising it to around 1500.

These are just some examples of what can be done. You can play around and get different results.

Recommended Spells to Use

1. Fortify Strength (As long as you don't go over 250)
2. Fortify Luck
3. Fortify Willpower
4. Fortify Endurance
5. Fortify Skill Spells
6. Summoning Spells (You can summon any minion permanately)
7. Fortify Magicka (For infinite Magicka)
8. Restore Fatigue

Not Recommended
1. Waterwalking (You won't be able to go underwater)
2. Levitate (It's annoying and you won't be able to stop)
3. Night Eye (Once again you can't get rid of the effect)
4. Restore Health (Some quests need you to lose health)
5. Spell Absorbption, Reflect, and Resistance Spells (Just don't mess with these)

NOTE: You don't have to use soultrap for this exploit. The "light" spell effect can be substituted in for soultrap. Replacing the soultrap on target with a light on target spell is beneficial because you won't trigger hostility if you happen to cast the spell on an npc.
Alchemy Exploit
The Alchemy Exploit

This allows you to make super potions. It's a simple exploit. All you need to do is get any two of the following ingredients:

1.Ash Yam
2.Bloat
3.Horker Tusk
4.Netch Leather

Mixing any of the two above ingredients will make a Fortify Intelligence potion.

Intelligence plays a role in potion strength. So, making a potion that fortifies your intelligence will allow you to make a slightly stronger potion. If you choose to make a slightly stronger intelligence potion, then you can continue this until you're making astronomically strong intelligence potions.

Once your intelligence is high enough, brew a stockpile of Intelligence potions so that you can make other potions.

When your intelligence is through the roof, you can make a fortify health potion that restores hundreds of points of health for minutes. Basically, you can make any potion at insane strength now. Your potions will also sell for a ton of money.

Just be sure to not run out of Intelligence potions, or you'll have to start all over.
Farming Weapons and Souls
Farming Weapons and Souls

You'll need to make two spells with the following effects:

1.

2.

When casting these spells, cast them down to the ground.

The first spell allows you to summon permanent Dremoras. You can kill them and loot them. At high enough levels they will have Daedric items.

The second spell summons a Golden Saint. You can farm items from it, but the real beauty is that you can trap its soul. I recommend doing the quest to get Azura's star first. Then you can constantly soultrap Golden Saints, and enchant Constant Effect items with their souls.
Infinite Magicka (Two Ways)
Infinite Magicka

There are two ways to go about having infinite magicka. The first way works if your Intelligence is below 100 pts.

1.

2.
The first method can be used if your intelligence is below 100. I find making it an item is easier. Casting the spell will restore your magicka to full. The second method requires that you cast the spell facing the ground. If your intelligence is over 100 you'll need to use the second method. When you cast the spell you'll gain 50 pts of Magicka. Cast this spell until you have thousands of magicka. You'll have to keep casting to keep the magicka up, but there's no downside to this as casting the spell outweighs its casting cost. You just need enough Magicka to cast it for the first time.
Free Master Alchemy Set
Travel to the Mage's Guild in Caldera. In the tower there is a Master's Alchemy Set. It's free to be stolen. Save before just incase you mess up.
Daedric Armor
This is a bit tricky. It's recommended to be done after you have been cured of a certain disease by Divayth Fyr.

If you haven't noticed, ol' Divayth is sporting a full set of Daedric. There's a way to take it off of him without killing him.

Just cast an armor disentigration spell on him until the pieces start to fall off. You'll also want to cast calming spells on him to keep him from attacking. Once all the pieces are off of him just loot the broken pieces from him and repair them with hammers.

A Calm Humanoid 100 Pts 5 secs spell will also make him unhonstile after you have taken his armor.

Or, just murder him. If you go the murdring path it's highly recommended to have been cured by him first.

Making the soultrap give me shield doesn't work, anyone else have this problem?

You can summon as many as your system / the game can handle!

How many companions can you have summoned at once? Could I have an army of Dremora and Golden Saints?

I'm having a very odd problem with the Soul Trap glitch. Every time I try it, with every possible configuration of spell effects, duration, etc., it's not working at all. I have not installed or am using Open Morrowind, though I do have MCP. My starting race is Woodelf if that's relevant but I don't think it would be. anyone have an idea what might be going wrong?

Create an amulet which gives full bound Daedric armor, and a belt which gives a Daedric shield and sword as a constant effect. Boom, weightless Daedric Armor.

I always just went Suran and stole an ebony Bracer that is on display at Goldyn Belaram's store. You just jump on the counter, look straight down at it and jump. grab it when you touch the ceiling. then I go and sell it to the Imp merchant.

Then I'd go get some levitate potions and go get Keening and Sunder. and Out of inventory swap weapons repeatedly(Def dont want to weapon swap with keening too much cause of run speed and agility cause then nothing can hit you except spells)

I will say I only done this on the Xbox. So have no Idea about it on pc.

MCP allows you to stack several of the same effects onto one spell. It also allows you to raise the cap of the spell from 100 to 500. This makes the exploit much stronger.

It shouldn't be called the soul trap exploit. That's because any spell that can be set to "target" mode will work in place of the soul trap. I usually just use Restore Health on Target for 1pt for the target aspect.

As for getting a fortify attribute spell, the OP said to go to that argonian for the mage's guild quest, but there are better ways.

My favorite way though is to go to the Balmora Temple, go down stairs and to talk to the lady on the left as you exit the staircase. She sells a couple of fortify attribute spells.

If you need cash before you start exploiting, Balmora has many crates/barrels which have free loot in them.

Fortify personality allows you to take all of a merchant's gold with a rusty spoon. try it out!

The target exploit can give pets/companions really strong stats, too.

If you go overboard with the fortify attribute, just drain the attribute to take it back down. a 1 second drain attribute won't return a fortified attribute bonus when it wears off. like if you drain intelligence 100 to restore your magic but you had the Mentor's ring equipped, you wont get back the +10 intelligence the ring grants you unless you took it off before casting the spell.
