- DESCRIPTION:

Das Herrenhaus is a zombie single player/Co-op map based in Der Riese style scripts and tries to capture the kino der toten feel. It represents an elite boarding school ruled by nazi scientists.

Background Story: In the last days of WW2 all communication with a strange Group 935 facility is lost. Reports speak of a boarding school ruled by a nazi officer, and identified member of the group 935, the doctor Hermann Schuster. With the war finished, the strange place was closed and abandoned. Nothing was heard of the students, professors, or even the doctor Schuster himself. A week later, somehow, some friendly faces landed inside the cursed building... The locals still remember that day, those screams, those lights...

Due to the way the game is coded, the only possible way to have audio in the loading cinematic requires a mod, subscribe if you want that audio, the mod doesnt add or change anything else.

this remaster sucks dude, most dumb easter egg and took until round 20 to get pap. on waw me and my buddy did the easter egg without a guide now you need a guide to make any progress in this map now. and all the guides are terrible aswell. terrible remaster go play to orginal on waw

Main complaint is that 'classrooms' is not 'Klassenräume' but actually Klassenzimmer. Räume translates closer to space, as in lebensräume. It can mean room but not in the context of classroom or bedroom, for example.

Definitely a 8.5 out of ten, only let down was the fact there was no boss fight. Me and the bois were looking forward to it and that may be a fault on our part. Honestly tho was a real cliff hanger. All around really good and would recommend although definitely not a casual EE :steamthumbsup:

Overall the map is a strong 8/10, and if these couple design choices would be reconsidered, it would easily take a spot in my personal Top 5 Zombies map list. The atmosphere and design is easily comparable to official maps made by 3arc, and it sits right on-par with vanilla BO3 maps.

The map has an incredible atmosphere that captures the Old-School zombies feel. The layout design is very well done, however I do have the same things to criticize as everyone else. This map is not really accessible for your average - and more so to a less-skilled - casual Zombies player. This is due to there being way too many and too expensive doors, and the bonus round being extremely unforgiving and brutal.

The idea of the bonus round is amazing. When the effects start to take place, you just know that something bad is coming. But it doesn't really serve the purpose of a bonus round in it's current state, which is mainly to get a max ammo. Just decreasing the visual disruption the zombies make on contact would make it a lot more bearable.
